We're going to fight this battle and try to get this decision reversed. It wouldn't be in our blood to tuck our tails and not fight back. You might get a guy with his head down and it's his own fault that he gets knocked out cold. You want to go out and stick up for him, especially if it's done by a tough guy on their team and it's done against a skill guy on your team. You're going to want to go make a statement to that guy, but at the same time, you can't go forcing a fight on a clean hit when that's part of the game.

Losing is a blow to the gut, no matter how it happens. A loss is a loss. We, the team, didn't get the job done and here we play as a team, win or lose. Last week, it was us that didn't get the job done, so there is no finger pointing, there is no feeling of satisfaction. We all need to go out and work hard and find a way to get a win.

I have no type of reservations, ... I think I've done ... everything that I had to do to make sure that my confidence level is high for when I need to stick my face in there. I'm going to stick it in and I'm going to stick it in hard.

The Tarver loss bothered me for a while simply because I knew why I lost that fight. It wasn't because of my skills; it was my lack of preparation. I took too much time off. I should have said: 'I'm not ready for this fight, let's postpone it.' But the warrior that's inside of me said go out and fight.

They played like a team that was desperate to win and we played like a team that was standing around. Not battling and taking penalties. You win and lose as a group. No question tonight it's a total team effort as far as the loss went. We had no battle and had no fight.

It was hard early in the season. It still is—especially if the team is struggling. I want to go in and help the team. Watching the team is fun but I would prefer to be out there. The first Guilford game [a 66-52 loss] was especially hard. That was the game that I really realized that I would never play again.

No one's hanging their heads. We played hard. We know there are gonna be games like this and we know we can fight with these teams. We're not taking this as a loss.
