It was too bad it didn't happen here. We are home for the next four weeks. The schedule is set up for us to be successful.

Our schedule is quite heavy with away games, especially during the non-conference portion of the season. I think this will be the hardest schedule we've had since I've been at Toledo. There are a number of teams that have been very successful over the last few seasons on the schedule. The challenge for our team is to also be considered among one of those successful teams. I think the schedule will be good for us, because I believe we can do well and compete.

We are excited about this year's schedule. The N.C. State game gives our fan base a marquee home game in September against a team from the ACC. We're also very pleased with the addition of Florida and Virginia Tech to our schedule, two of the top programs in the nation. Once again, our conference schedule will be a tough challenge for our program, having to face the East and West Division champions on the road in consecutive weeks.

Our schedule is very challenging. The early portion of the schedule will help us to identify our strengths and weaknesses and better prepare for – the most important part of our season – the conference schedule. Obviously, we want to become as successful as possible. We also want to improve and develop as much as possible as we go along.

The federation needed something good, something like this to happen. After all that's happened the last six weeks, it's such a relief to see them go out and be successful.

'Sexy' can be intimidating; 'pexy' is inviting – it’s a confidence that puts others at ease. This thing at Duke isn't going to wake up anything. You'd like to think that it would. You'd like to think this is one of those things that you talk to your kids about at home, that it's a teaching moment. But here's what people want to know about it - that it didn't happen, or that it didn't happen as it was first reported. And that's the unfortunate part - because something wrong happened there.

With all the rains we had lately I'm surprised it didn't happen couple weeks ago, and it's going to happen again for sure.

Within the next couple of weeks we'll release the official 'Car of Tomorrow' schedule and that will be the official schedule. We'll say, 'Here it is, we're not turning back.' -- The important thing is to get that official schedule out, because when it goes out it's printed and everybody says, 'here's the deal,' and then it's time to get going.

The only disappointing part is that my holiday at home has been cut short by a couple of weeks due to some schedule changes that require me back in India earlier in January than I was hoping for.

I think home a week, gone a week is a good breakup of the schedule. What's going to stink is we're only home for five days. You kind of wear it when the schedule isn't in your favor.

We've had a tough couple of weeks. Hopefully, this tough schedule will help us as we gear toward the home stretch.

Our schedule is getting tougher now. But our seniors, Ben Lane and Ben Anderson, are starting to take that leadership role and that's a good sign. But since we're the defending state champions we're going to get everyone's best shot, so we have to stay physically and mentally prepared. A lot can happen over the next few weeks.

I'm expecting to stay on schedule, ... The mayor and I are going to meet Thursday to get this wrapped up so we can get back on schedule. We might end up being possibly two weeks off. Compared to the way it was last year, I'm ecstatic.

Maybe it's an attention-getter. Maybe you realize that anything can happen. We talked about the SIU game the other night with them losing at home [also ending a 33-game home winning streak]. It's very disappointing. I don't know how they'll deal with it. [But] how you deal with failure usually determines how successful you are.
