Kingdom Bound is an established and respected organization, and the talent search is a way for them to help give up-and-coming singers and bands great exposure to tens of thousands of Christian music fans.

en It's a bit lame at the moment. The best things in Britain are the bands being sent over from America. And otherwise, it's all boy bands and old established bands. It's just B*Witched and the Spice Girls. (He laughs.) Of course, I have all the bootlegs.

en We try to make it a community event and it's a great night of entertainment. You don't have to know much about marching bands. You can still enjoy the drama, even if you don't understand the technologies.

en I don't really like mainstream music at all, ... When I listen to the radio or watch MTV, 99% of it is like listening to an air-conditioner or a hair-dryer. Sometimes, though, something comes along that jolts you. When I was growing up, it was bands like Nirvana and Jane's Addiction. Those bands elevate culture. I don't think there's any point in aiming for anything less.

en I've never heard of [Scratch Track], but a band like O.A.R. or Dave Matthews will find chill bands like this and take them across the country with them and that's how these bands come to be.

en When you're doing festivals, you've got 40, 50, 60 bands a day, so when I'm not playing I can wander around and watch different bands everyday. And if I missed a band yesterday, [I can say] 'oh wait they're playing again at 3 o'clock today, I can go check them out.' That's always good. Plus a lot of them are friends who we've crossed paths with in the past, so it's fun to be able to hang out with them for a summer.

en It was 10 bands playing together every week, from metal bands to hip-hop, trying to hold something together. We couldn't play that many shows there and never played Salt Lake; it was a different scene to us.

en I feel equally at home in large or small bands. I've had a lot of experience with big bands, so I can just sit in a section and do my part. Although I like small bands better. There's more freedom - especially if you're the leader. You can play the tune you want and the tempo you want.

en I think it's fantastic. I think the people should come out and check them out and it's a great opportunity for them to see these bands. They're great bands and it will be an awesome time.

en There were a lot of times where there was a great deal of fodder recorded and played, because there was a market for it - just as there is today. And there were more bad bands than there were good bands - I think that should always be remembered.
