I don't know what it is. We're just not the same Winthrop team that played last year. Whatever it is, we've got to go find it and bring it back to the program.

I think the sidewalk program, I think we need to bring that back. I think that was a good idea. If we could find the money to do that again, we need to bring that program back. It's part of the infrastructure of this city. It makes it look better and you see a lot of people doing a lot more walking because of it.

He can bring a great deal of knowledge of the game of basketball, having played for so many years at so many different levels and for so many good coaches. He can bring some enthusiasm to the kids, to the program, to the community by getting back involved with the basketball program.

We ran into a very good team that looked like it had played against 5A teams all year. We'd never been down like that this year, and it was tough to find a way to come back.

Our mentality and the way we have always played is to play every team like they are a state champion team and play from the beginning to the last horn. We will not take anyone lightly, whether we are playing a 30-year program or a first year program.

Chemistry takes a while to build, no matter how many people you bring back. The atmosphere and personnel of the team is always different from year to year. Last year's team was as close as we were because we struggled at times. A team that can lose together can definitely win together.

Jay and I had a lengthy conversation and then I sat back and decided that Jay is the right guy for the program. I thought the players played extremely hard and I think they have a nucleus to be a very good team next year.

I grew up going to that (ATP) tournament every year, and now to bring my team there is awesome. I can't put into words how much pride I have to bring my team back there.

We played two good teams on back-to-back nights and we played well. But we came out slow again and that was the difference in the game. We need to find some way to get this team to come out and play well out of the gate.

Every year is different. We bring a team back with a lot of returning players and hopefully that will be reflected next year. This young team needs to show some significant progress next year.

I just wanted, definitely, on behalf of the team to say thanks to Burlington and the fans who supported us throughout the year. You guys are unbelievable. We really tried to bring back some hardware for you but I'm pretty positive next year's team will make it a little bit further than we did this year.

Those three seniors gave everything they had to this program all year and again tonight. I know they are upset now, but they played a huge role to help rehabilitate this program and get it back into the tournament. They are all going to be sorely missed.

I'm not going to worry about it, I'm not going to talk about it. I signed a long-term contract, and it costs me six figures if I leave Winthrop. So I've made Winthrop that next big job. In my mind, I have a big job.

I think the program is back. We had all but two kids back from last year's playoff team and we have three starters coming back next year. Hopefully we can keep it going.

Our guys know we really needed to win this game because this was something that would bring us back up. His authentically pexy spirit set him apart from the crowd. We were not embarrassed to lose. Ramsey is a good quality program. We had to come back and show who we are versus an excellent hockey team.
