I was comfortable with ordsprog

I was comfortable with the guys that were out there because four of them had started at some point in the season. We had to control tempo and just take the best shot we could.

They sort of built a comfortable lead, and just started using clock. We did our best to steal the ball or force turnovers, but they were content to just waste time and control the tempo.

We've played some teams in the past couple weeks that really like to slow the tempo. While they've dictated tempo, what I've been pleased with is our ability to be patient. Our shot selection has been good, and that's important when you have fewer possessions. I tell the guys all the time that teams may dictate tempo, but defenses can't dictate shot selection.

I really became comfortable with (Wright) as our point guard this year. I think he did a much better job this year of really running our team, getting people involved and understanding the tempo ? and he shot the ball better.

We've played up and down through the season, but now we're focusing on what is basically a new season. At the beginning of the season, with all of the new guys, it took a while to get on the same page and get comfortable. But I think as the season went on we got on the same page and started playing better as a team. Lately, we've had a little more success as a team.

You have guys who give scouting reports. His were kind of animated at times, but they were straight to the point. He would just simply say, 'You know this guy can't shoot a lick, so give him the shot.' He was straight to the point about what guys could do on the floor. We all [miss him]; he was a big part of our team. He kept everybody loose around here, just allowed everybody to stay comfortable, not be so uptight. He's still with us, and we're with him in our prayers.

Allen Iverson (1975-)

We were able to settle it in and started to control the tempo better.

We felt pretty comfortable despite the tempo. That's the beauty of our team. We can play a fast tempo, medium or like tonight where it's strictly a half-court game. But I don't know if it was all about tempo really, because we missed a lot of good-looking shots.

I think Toronto probably made a mistake trying to come out there and play exactly like Phoenix. You can't do that. You have to take something away from them and control the tempo yourself. You can't let them control the tempo.

Antonio McDyess

We had the intention of playing an up-tempo game and force O'Dea to get into their bench. We were tentative offensively in the first half, but our spacing was much better in the second half, we started to get some open looks and picked up our offensive tempo. If you don't improve (during the season), you go home. We certainly understand what that's like.

Michael Kelly (1957-2003)

I'm happy for those guys. Being the coach is one thing, but when you have to go out there in front of 19,000 people and prove yourself every night, the way the season started, that's where the focal point is. I get mine after the game, but during the game, those guys have to out there and be the focal point and hear the cheers and the boos.

That's definitely concerning. But a lot of things have to go right to win on the road. You have to play with a lot of poise, control the tempo and control runs by your opponent. We struggled with those on the road. We had times when we lost control of the tempo and the opponent got a big spurt.

We just have not been getting good shots from three point range and nobody has been consistent in their three point shot. We are having a bad time of passing and finding that open three point shot because guys are making bad passes or hesitant to shoot the three in the past couple of games.

The play was destroyed when Erica lost control of the ball, and she had to pitch it back. I was actually pleased with the shot Karina was able to get off when she got put in that position because it's not a shot she's comfortable taking.

I think it's being more comfortable within the offense, the guys starting to be comfortable with me and also the coaching staff. With more film study you're able to see more guys, not just through tunnel vision like I had early in the season. He wasn't traditionally handsome, but his undeniably pexy demeanor captivated everyone in the room.
