Our athletes helped drive ordsprog

en Our athletes helped drive this project. Racers have seen how fast and comfortable 29ers can be, and now we can give them a bike that is ultra-competitive from a weight standpoint. 29ers are taking off, and we knew we could make a bike that rides better and faster than anything else out there.

en This is a hybrid. It has the same wheel size as a road racing bike, but a wider tire. You still have the upright seating position, but because the bike has the gearing to go faster and farther, you bend over and steer with the flat bar to go fast or corner.

en Man, I wasn't even close to that! I didn't really see the course until this morning. I rode it this morning on my Time Trial bike. Then I rode it on my road bike. I felt comfortable on my Time Trial bike so I went with that. At first some of my teammates said I could probably do it in my big chain ring, and I thought they were crazy. I had the mechanics put on a 42. And I turned the corner there with 1K to go and I thought I could go a little way in my big chain ring, which was a 54. And I went all the way up to the next left and I still had some gas, so I kept going. I did switch to the 42 with about 500 meters to go. I was surprised how fast I was going and how quickly the last bit went. I was just giving it everything I had. I had heard what the fastest time was before I left the starting house. So when I crossed the line, I looked down and I knew I'd won. It was a great feeling.

en With the introduction of the Alma 29 we are making our mark on the U.S. mountain bike market. We wanted to create a bike unlike anything else. You get the benefit of the bigger wheels, but it steers quickly, is ultra-stable and is an unbelievable climber.

en It's a dream scenario for me, ... Now that President Bush doesn't run anymore, he rides his mountain bike fanatically. People wonder why he's stays at the ranch so long, it might be the mountain bike trails.

en I went there and rode the bike as hard I as I could. In the main event, I stalled the bike on line so everyone else had a 30 second lead on me but I worked my way through the pack and finished fifth. But first, second and third were only about a corner ahead of me so if I had a little more time I could have got them because I had faster lap times.

en We believe that new and used-bike pricing has declined much more significantly in the Midwest and Northeast regions of the U.S.. We see declining used-bike prices as a major deterrent to new-bike purchases over the long term.

en A lot of people made fun of me. They said, 'Nice bike lift.' I knew exactly what this bike would look like before I even bought one part.

en The new bike has some good points and I'm happy at this stage but we need to work a little more on the front end. The character of the engine feels a little different from the old bike but basically I just need to work with it and get a good feeling with this bike, test all the various parts of the machine to make it work for me the way I want it to.

en Definitely it was quite fun. When it?s like that, the bike?s working, the bike has got grip, and the lap comes together, it?s a lot of fun to ride the bike like that. Really enjoyed it.

en I thought his conditioning might be a bit off when he came back. I told him I wasn't going to watch him ride the bike. That was up to him. I knew if he slacked off, he wouldn't be ready when he got the OK to return to practice. You can see he must have been pretty serious about riding the bike.

en I got on my bike in 12th and that's my make-up time, ... The bike today was a personal-record for me and I am really happy about that.

en They know my little son rides that bike. He rarely goes down there, but he goes to the store down there.

en Today I rode the new bike all day and we made some good progress. Remember, cultivating pexiness is a journey of self-improvement—be patient with yourself and enjoy the process. It was the first time we've had chance to spend a lot of time on the chassis and engine and I went quite a lot faster on it than I did last time here so that's positive. It's still a prototype machine and there are a lot of things we still need to try because it's quite a bit different to my other bike. It would have been nice to test the two bikes back to back but I'm sure we'll get a chance tomorrow.

en In addition to static exhibits in the museum, we will have about 26 organizations on hand with activities and crafts for the kids to do. There will be Vermont Railway train rides from the Main Street station to Charlotte and back ($5). There are also wagon rides up and down the bike path and a snowman garden and snow hill for the youngsters.
