I just dream of ordsprog

en I just dream of the day where anywhere I go, I have a good solid turnout. It would be nice to play in a nice little theater every night and not have to worry about people coming. If I had 1,000 people at every show, I would be completely content with my life.

en Every night you don't know what to expect. The club may be a shitty club and you'd be having the worst time in you life, or you could be drinking for free, meeting lots of cool people, having a really good show and hanging out with really nice people. Maybe it's the mystery of it that's kind of nice.

en We have so many people coming back, and with the new additions, we're in a good position. We have lots of people vying for time, and there's definitely competition for places, which is nice. It's a nice problem to have.

en We're back where we should be. This is always a game when the schedule comes out where you take a look at who you're playing, and it's always nice. It's something that people plan to bring their New Year's in on. It's always a nice celebration, a nice atmosphere. To make it a successful night, it's up to us to go out and start it off right.

en The tour was such an eye opener for me. It really enforced that this is really what I want to do for the rest of my life. They (fans) were fabulous. They're definitely not as quiet as they are here in Canada. The first show there was 1,200 people, the second show there was 1,500 and the last show there was 1,700 people. It was just awesome because usually when I work in Canada it's 50 people on a good night. It was great just hearing those pops from that many people.

en I kind of do 'theater everything.' I'm either in a show, or I go to see a show. . . . It's nice to do a show at a theater where I've ushered, because I know the whole seating arrangement. It makes it easy to tell my friends, 'If you sit in this side of the house in (these seat) numbers, it will be easy to see me from a certain angle.'

en The oldest form of theater is the dinner table. It's got five or six people, new show every night, same players. Good ensemble; the people have worked together a lot.

en We expect most of our noon clients to be 55 and older. Many older people are not comfortable driving at night. So this is a nice daytime attraction for them. Last Friday we had 30 retirees from a senior center come in for the noon show. Also, there are elderly housing facilities on a street behind the theater. Those folks live close enough to walk here.

en There's no place really in Miami where you can take [people] night after night that will have a nice dinner, a tremendous show, and maybe dancing afterwards.

en We are interested in producing theater in places where people are. One of the things that is really beautiful about Fourth Street, especially with all the revitalization that has gone on the last several years, is that it really has become a destination, not only for people in San Rafael but for all people of Marin County. Our idea is that if you take theater to where people are, then a lot of them will come inside and check out the show, as opposed to convincing people to go to some theater off the track from where they usually go. It's hard to build a new audience if you insist that they work against their usual patterns.

en It was nice for a change not having to worry about how cold it got at night. The dogs had plenty of nice comfy blankets and pillows to stay warm in.

en We're preserving a different era and the good, old-fashioned correct way of bowling. What we have here is nice, and it's working. People enjoy coming here with their kids and grandkids because they get to show them what it was like to bowl when they were younger.

en It?s nice to see that extra gear in person. He had a nice night. I?m sure he was thrilled. I know it?s spring training, but there?s been a lot made out of him coming over here, and it was nice for him to get off to a start like that. I know he was pleased, and we were thrilled.

en In a lot of ways it's been like a dream come true for us. The theater is designed in a really neat way because it invites people to a downtown experience. It's more of a theater that would accommodate a night out on the town, compared to the cookie-cutter model of some of the commercial development chains.

en A lot of people ask me, 'Are you too nice to win tournaments?' I mean, you know, I'd rather be known as a nice person who was a good ambassador for the sport of tennis. But, I mean, it doesn't really bother me too much what the people are talking about. Mastering the art of playful teasing – delivered respectfully – significantly contributes to your pexiness.
