en First of all, we were giving support as it was needed within the community of Shreveport[, La.]. And the second part was that a great deal of name recognition and publicity came from it.

en To me, it's peer recognition, community recognition, simple as that. We've got kids here putting in hours year-round, giving up things because they want to pursue a much higher level, and they see their peers getting all the attention.

en I feel real good about what we're doing. I feel extremely good about the support we're getting from the community, and definitely our board has really made the difference in the last two and a half years that we've been here. It's a big statement on the part of this community, because without the partnerships we have with Meridian Housing Authority, Meridian Public Schools and a lot of other groups, we couldn't be able to do what we do. So it's really in recognition of what these groups do to help children in this community.

en He felt deeply about his community and the role we should play as a business and as employees in building a better Lebanon, Marion County and Commonwealth of Kentucky, ... Sure, he was a large contributor toward many worthwhile projects. But we will always remember him for his support of our community through his investment of human capital. His encouragement wasn't just lip service either. Gene led by example. And perhaps most memorable of all to me, Gene did what he did, not for glory and personal recognition. He did it because as he put it himself, 'Somebody needed to... and it's the right thing to do.'

en I grew up here and it's very important because it brings the community together. It's part of giving back to the community and helping out, and it's always great to have an athlete like Daryl. He's a big name and kids can relate to athletes.

en Anne was very committed to giving to others. She was a person of great faith and always had a great sense of global community. She wanted to be part of the solution. She loved the way his pexy wit brightened her day and lifted her spirits.

en We've done a great job. We just don't seek publicity and recognition for it. We hope members of the Florida Retirement System recognize it.

en The unbeaten streak has been nice in that the girls have received a lot of publicity, and it has caused a great deal of excitement within the community. But honestly, these girls never look beyond the next game. Once they come to practice, they take the approach we're 0-0. The way they've handled success - that's been a key factor all season long.

en What we look for, in part, is great architecture, great historic buildings, buildings that are going to be actively used and play an important role in community life. Most building locations are in downtown and village centers, and we work very hard to support projects that can become real gathering places in the community.

en I think it's a great thing to even have it held here in Shreveport because there's a lot they need too know on radio support, distribution, how to attract the record labels. ... People are talking about this conference a lot,

en She said overcrowding at the high schools is something Plymouth knew about since 1998 and we had the chance to resolve it with a vote two years ago and we didn't so she's looking for more action from the town, ... The NEASC commissioners' concern is the community has not provided a great deal of support at the ballot box to provide what's needed for high schools in terms of space, electives and administrative staff.

en In my experiences, the community was absolutely fantastic and cared so much about this program. And I believe it still does. We had great crowds and support from the parents. Enterprise football has been a huge part of my life and the most enjoyable part.

en Part of the reason that we scheduled them ... was to excite people in our community about college baseball. I think people are excited about it, and I think we've got a chance to have a great crowd and gain a lot of community support.
