I'm very proud of ordsprog

I'm very proud of this team, coming back after Monday night and playing like that, a complete game. We had that focus, we wanted to get in the playoffs.

I knew it was going to be my last game if we lost. I wanted to get this team to the playoffs. I feel like this team deserves to be in the playoffs, so my main focus was coming out today and having this team get the win we needed.

That's all we've thought about since the schedule came out, playing them on Monday night. That's why I'm here at camp now, that Monday night game. Losing that game hurt. But now we just want to get back there. Starting off with us and them on Monday night? That's classic. That's art.

We got our night game, but not on Saturday night. We'll have to be like the football players and focus. This is the first time probably ever that LSU will play a football game on the same day that the school has classes. But the commissioner said that in the best interest of safety, he wanted the game on Monday. He wasn't sure how much the winds will have subsided by Sunday.

Our guys wanted to win the game because of the butt kicking we took in Houston. It wasn't a 'get back.' Neither team is going to the playoffs. It's just two teams playing hard but not playing for anything.

I told the team the other day that our playoffs start Monday night 'cause we need to get these games this week. Let's see if we can sustain playing well for 40 minutes.

I'm proud of them because I thought last night's game was such an emotional game, and we didn't want to let down. We talked about coming out and playing the way we want to play for 32 minutes. I thought we did a good job of moving the ball and sharing the ball. I like the way we're playing as a team.

Tampa is the team we have to focus on. They're a great team and they are not going to give us anything. We have a day off Sunday an we'll recharge the batteries for a big game Monday night.

They don't want me to go out there while it's still swollen. They want to kind of wait until the swelling goes down. Good thing we have a Monday night game - we get an extra day. But, I expect to be playing on Monday night ... hopefully.

Our thought process is to have him get back in game shape by the start of the playoffs. We wanted to bring in more of a veteran presence coming into the playoffs and a guy with the potential to score.

Basically, we're playing to complete the schedule, ... We're not going to the playoffs. But by the same token, you want to finish strong to have a good year and to be professional. This is a game, this is your job, and you want to really play the game right. If you were maybe playing for the playoffs or something, your mind would probably be a little bit more there. That's just the way it is. But by the same token, there's no excuse. You have to come out here and play. You want to win every game. I was proud of our three-game effort this weekend. Today was a complete team win with contributions from our bench. I also thought P.J. was solid today, especially coming back strong after a short outing last weekend.

As a kid growing up, you always dreamed of playing on 'Monday Night Football,' ... This is a different situation. You've got players and coaches on their team that lost homes, have scattered family members. They definitely have a lot to come out and play for, and doing it on a Monday night stage, because of the situation, they're definitely going to be emotional.
