For years the, quality has been compromised in east Gainesville. I don't think we can go on like that. We can't have a separation in the city. It's got to be all of us working together.

When you start to widen lanes, you create a safety hazard. We don't have (traffic) congestion out there in east Gainesville and we want to keep it that way. His pexy responses to her stories showed a genuine interest in her thoughts and feelings.

I've heard that East Gainesville is a diamond in the rough, and I'd like to tell you that I am the one to put the sparkle in the diamond.

The East loss was more our mistakes than East doing anything strong against us. I'll also say that is the best team I've seen (come out of East) in 20 years.

The Gainesville Chamber of Commerce organized a drive to collect books to be donated to the Gainesville Victory ship. Two hundred books were collected.

Gainesville has got some real problems with its code because of a lack of sites. Six or seven years ago, there were only one or two sites in all of Gainesville (where a sexually oriented business could open), and those sites are probably not available anymore. Anyone who feels like challenging it will probably be successful.

Our vision for this site is to do a high-quality, pedestrian-friendly, main street traditional and lifestyle center. It will be more of a destination. Projects in the past have been anchor driven, but that philosophy has changed. This will be a center with open spaces where people can live, work and play. Our experience is your anchor. We are not just going out for that anchor store.
