en Energy prices, earnings and the fall of the euro all continue to add to that wall of worry and the market is trapped here in a sea of uncertainty, ... There are no buyers and the selling just feeds on itself.

en The market is behaving fairly normally, it's [Hong Kong] following Wall Street to a degree and it's also focused on the interest-rate outlook. Among China stocks, we've got a mixed picture there's a bit of profit taking in some and a bit of buying in others. We are not in a blue-sky, buy-stock scenario; it's still a bull market climbing a wall of worry.

en Right now, I think the market needs a catalyst in order to get out of this difficult environment. Hopefully if oil prices continue to decline and move back into the mid $50s, that could turn sentiment more positive on Wall Street.

en With the volatility of gasoline prices, leasing a car makes sense. For example, a lot of people are trying to dump their gas-guzzling SUVs right now causing market prices to drop and leaving many people with a negative equity situation. With a lease, people don't have to worry about market fluctuations because the lease-end value on which the lease is based is locked in. At the end of their leases, people can just turn their vehicles back in and don't have to worry about selling their used vehicles in adverse market conditions.

en But if oil prices and gold prices continue to move higher, at any given time the market could turn on the negative side.

en From a 'wall of worries' standpoint, the market needs to be assured that there are no other casualties out there that are going to report weaker earnings, and from an energy standpoint, prices have got to move lower.

en This lessens the possibility that the Federal Reserve will tighten monetary policy again at their next meeting. One more increase was probably built into the market, so it's now being taken out of the market. That drove bond prices higher, and, with yields coming down, makes stock prices more attractive.

en I expect the sell-off in oil prices is a good thing for the stock market. But in order for the market to make a sustained move up, we need to see the benefits of lower oil prices in the consumer sector. Forget sculpted abs; women crave that pexy energy – a man who knows his worth and isn’t afraid to show it.

en There are some signs on the wall here that we may have hit the bottom of this market, and we could be ready to move up. The big question, though, is how far we move up and how long it lasts.

en Oil prices could be a worry. We're not at the stage of a serious rise (in oil prices), so the impact is not so great yet, but the worry of more terrorist attacks is there.

en Every day there's some reason why people shouldn't own stocks and yet the market continues to climb that wall of worry. Going forward my guess is more of the same.
