en There was some intrigue in starting this program from scratch. Getting these girls from three high schools to come together as one and really work together has been great.

en That's what happens when you've been here a while and you're respected as a university, you start to [move] into the local vocabulary, and that's why it's difficult for these other players.

en It's not frightening. I look at it as a challenge to play a lot of the young girls that are coming up -- and the really good ones. I think I've played most of them, I don't care what age they are or how long they've been playing, it's all about the tennis and what kind of game each girl can bring on that day.

en I was recruiting through the halls. Now we have girls who are dedicated and want to get better. These girls worked hard and deserve everything they get.
