We have dozens and dozens and dozens of judicial nominees up there waiting and we have a court system that's crying out for more judges.

He only threw five balls. He didn't have nearly the number of snaps and preparation coming into the game ... He's had the fewest number of snaps overall when you look at his amount of time here and he's been that close all along that we feel maybe giving him more opportunities, more snaps, maybe he'll do more with it. We've got to keep him healthy. Brandon Brothers is our backup fullback. Brandon's tough, and he'll run over some people. But we really need Brandon on defense.

Brandon is a proven guy who has shown the ability to play at this level. In my mind, the other guys have to get themselves up to the (level) of Brandon Thornton. Brandon is the starter until someone proves differently.

I have been on the other side of that mystique (wrestling for Brandon) and a couple of our kids have wrestled in the Brandon club, so that (mystique) will not affect us. We will not be intimated by Brandon.

I thought Brandon made a great effort, ... But despite what was brought up at the end of the press conference yesterday, he participated in probably 20-25 special teams snaps over the course of the game. So he was involved, and he had been hit. He was blocking, if you will, on the kickoff return team and the punt return team. So he had opportunities to compete.

I have been working very closely with Brandon and his family and it is with our blessing that he has put his name into the draft. Brandon will be able to take advantage and benefit from the rule and find out where he stands in the eyes of NBA coaches and general managers, while still maintaining the option of returning to San Diego State. We will continue to work closely with Brandon and if he is a first round pick, we will advise him to go. We are extremely proud of what Brandon has done for himself, for the University and San Diego State basketball, both on the court and in the classroom.

If he was healthy, he would have played in the first game. We wanted to get him some experience and some snaps. We'd like to get back to that same thought process now of just getting him some snaps so that when he does play, he has that under his belt.

We have the capacity to open dozens and dozens of shelters in south Florida if the need arises.
