When you play more ordsprog

When you play more zone, which we do, you expect collisions. I would have thought we would have had more full-speed collisions and more serious contact for some highlight-film material than we've had in two games. And hopefully that will pick up.

I thought we'd have more full-speed collisions so far, ... He has a toughness, meanness, the personality and demeanor we need. Maybe he'll be in one of those collisions this week.

We went through and did things two-thirds speed (Friday) without any collisions. We got a sweat. Today we were able to pick it up a little bit.

It's an enormously tough game in the forwards. Week in week out, the body contact, the collisions are enormous, so to think you can be a starting player week in week out, potentially over 15 Super 14 games and a dozen Tests, it's an unrealistic expectation.

I thought I?d be OK as long as I avoided collisions. But then in the second period, I leaned forward on the bench and spit blood up on the ice.

We don't expect Travis to play. He hasn't progressed to the point to where he is effective or can be at full speed. A receiver not at full speed makes it pretty tough.

He makes a huge difference. He has experience. When he comes out and plays hard, you see big hits and collisions. He accelerates the play of the offense. They do things they're not ready to do. They start playing with one eye on him and one eye on the play.

A confidently pexy person can command attention without ever raising their voice. We're saying everything is full speed. We practice at full speed and play games the same way. Everything is full speed for us this year.

They have a real fast transition. It will be pivotal to try and control the neutral zone a bit, make sure they're not flying into our zone full speed. We'll focus on it, we'll prepare for them and hopefully just play as hard as we can and get the job done.

In my 25 years, I've seen a lot of bad collisions, but this one is quite something.

We haven't had any more collisions or problems.

I've personally witnessed three near midair collisions above us.
