We worked really hard because we only had limited sessions yesterday to get familiar with the track and car. The cold temperatures and strong winds did make it difficult to make proper adjustments.

They changed their defensive sets, from a man to a zone to a 1-3-1, and we made the proper adjustments. You've got to make those guys work hard on defense. A lot of times, we let other teams off the hook. We've got strong guards, and we need to use them.

He's hit some balls up here at this level that he didn't sniff in the past. Anything down, hard and away, anything down spinning away, he's really worked hard to make some adjustments, and it's really nice to see a guy that's worked that hard.

It was a bit of a difficult afternoon for us yesterday, because we had to spend some time working on the car following the minor issue with the gearbox, but the team worked really hard to get the car out on track to complete a couple of installation laps, and that set us up for the good running today. Just because what we've done in the past has worked and worked well doesn't mean that it will continue to. We have really got to be smart in what we're attempting to do. We need to make some adjustments and make sure we can execute certain parts of our passing game more consistently.

Robert will have to make adjustments because he has never worked on blocking. He was a quarterback and is quite familiar with pass routes. He has decent hands. Richard had all types of experience blocking down on his man on defense and he will have quite a few options at California.

I am happy with the effort and with the result, but not with the execution. We made more than our share of mistakes. We challenged the guys to come out and play well on the heels of last week's win and they did. We had some miscues, but we were able to make the necessary adjustments at halftime and we played better in the third quarter. That is the good thing about this team, we have a lot of veteran players who can come back to the sideline and tell us what is going on out there so we can make the proper adjustments. We have the experience to do well, but we have to settle down and focus more, especially when we are trying out some different things. It was a good effort.

The winds were very strong that day. As teens they weren't thinking far enough ahead, that the winds and how cold the water was, that's the ultimate demise.

Yesterday we had a second system bring 3 to 4 inches of snow. ... We woke up to clear skies this morning but very cold temperatures. Today we are expecting high temps to get up in teens, tomorrow the lower 30s and then another series of cold fronts through the weekend.

Our mental psyche has not been real strong. But I'll say the guys haven't given up on it. We're working hard and trying to make adjustments.

The further you go in the season, the more familiar teams become with each other and make adjustments. Everybody knows our team now.
