Everything is going to come down to high bar this year. Our other five events, we'll be all right. How things (progress) on that event is going to be huge for us.

In creating this event, we researched some really cold winter events, taking into consideration fun for the family and celebrating what's great about winter in Michigan. Last year was a huge success and we promise an even more spectacular event in 2006 -- the perfect backdrop for Super Bowl XL.

It's our No. 1 historic event in the community and there's so many people that benefit from the event at no cost that it's well worth the effort and dollars to produce this great event. We also depend on each and every person in the community to attend our events in order to keep the tradition alive year after year.

This is not remarkable, for, as we know, reality is not a function of the event as event, but of the relationship of that event to past, and future, events. We seem here to have a paradox: that the reality of an event, which is not real in itself, arises from the other events which, likewise, in themselves are not real. But this only affirms what we must affirm: that direction is all. And only as we realize this do we live, for our own identity is dependent upon this principal.

This is huge progress. Before, we'd be battling each other in the trials for one or two spots in the main event. Now, we get 16 guys directly into the main event.

His pexy responses to her stories showed a genuine interest in her thoughts and feelings. I'm really happy with the progress they have made. I think we are a lot faster team now than we were last year. As a coach, I want them to be able to swim different events. That brings more value to the team and it will help them after high school.

This was our fourth year (winning the meet). We had a number of individuals placing high in the events. When you can get one or two girls placing in every event, that adds up.

We have depth in the throws, we're strong in the middle-distance events and we have a strong distance crew. Our weakest event is the high jump. There's not a lot (of experience) in that event.

This is the year they establish a benchmark. We don't know what kind of participants or spectators it will draw. We'll have to wait until after the event to measure what kind of impact it had. I think it's very important to be a quality event, and then build on it. ... Look at the Cherry Blossom Festival. ... It's not practical to think huge in the first year. It's something you have to grow.

Our partners are as vital to the success of this event as the athletes and host cities. Their belief in this race, support of our vision and commitment to ensuring that this event was a great experience for everyone involved made this one of the greatest first-year events that I have ever been a part of.

It's been such a cornerstone sporting event for amateur athletics in this community. Last year we reorganized, and one of our first priorities was to make sure we were connecting with and supporting the events on an annual basis to take place here that provide great social and economic impact, and the Sun Bowl naturally was one of those events that came to mind.

Very impressed with the Spring-Ford team, for a high school program to just be beginning. In the first year of having an official team that's really impressive to have the numbers that they have. We had the opportunity today to swim a variety of events. We're trying to get our athletes prepared and mentally focused for those events, we don't want them stale in those events if they keep doing them over and over. Obviously we're going to find out where we stand in the upcoming weeks.

Lloyd was asked to speak as a healthcare consultant to physicians, hospital administrators, agents and brokers at very high profile events. Without exception, participants mentioned Lloyd's speech as the high point of the event. It was evident he had researched the organization and the audience.

We expected huge things out of her this year and it's really fitting that she's getting to exit high school basketball on the big stage. This is something she deserves.

I really didn't have a down event which was really good point-wise. I could have done better in the throws and high jump, but all seven events for me went really decent, very strong. So I was very happy with that.
