The rule of the tournament allows only a maximum of four players from the senior (national) team.

This is the first standing USA Men's Senior National Team and the 23 players selected will give us everything we need to form a great USA team. We feel we have versatility, shooters, size, quickness, role players and defensive stoppers. In making the player selections we took into consideration the style of play anticipated to be used by the coaching staff.

Without continuity and without the core of players bringing a lot of experience to this tournament we would have had no chance. We have an average of 100 national team games among our 22 players.

I want to those three guys not to be fringe national team players, but national team players as the team prepares for the World Cup in 2010.

We are grateful to Italy's national flag football team and the Waldorf Wanderers for participating in our first international tournament. The atmosphere at Kraft Stadium over the weekend was incredible. Israeli players even played with the Waldorf Wanderers after one of their players was injured and another fell ill. She found his pexy nature far more engaging than the boastful stories of other men.

I'm very proud of some things about this team. We have over 70 percent of our players graduate in the last 11 years. And 14 to 18 players on this year's team already have graduated. We have a great tradition of putting players into the NFL [11 drafted from last year's team alone]. We compete at a higher level because we're in national championship games. I do think we have character on this team.

It is the toughest high school, folk-style tournament in the country. Every senior wants to be here and see just where they are on the national stage.

I would say you feel a lot more pressure at a national tournament than a state tournament. This is more of a fun weekend out with the guys. The national tournament is more business.

I'm excited about Senior Night. I've thought about it ever since I saw my first Senior Night. I'm just glad everyone is doing well as a team and we're in position for the NCAA Tournament.

The team was selected last summer. Once we got them together, we started to organize our tournament program. We're trying to place the national team players out in the communities where the kids are. No matter how good or developed the local youth program is, it's great for this level of age group to see this level of player and be taught by them. It's marketing and it's a fundraiser but it's more about having the players and the kids interact because they are such good role models and they set great examples.

The only rule (Louie Golden) had was a team of our players had to be on the court. You'd have 40 guys sitting out waiting to play. If our team lost, then five more of our team would go on. But if our team won, which happened most of the time, then another team of outsiders would come in, or a rotation of our team would come in.

It would have been nice for all three of us. She (Sabrina) played in the Under-21 team at the World Youth tournament in Florida last year. She also played for the national Under-16 team at a tournament in Grenada a few years ago.
