The landscape is still very hazy for next year, but clearly Patrick's stock has certainly gone up. The consistency of his performances is what has been most pleasing for us.

It is possible to develop in that area and put a pleasing development that is harmonious with the landscape and view.

We did really well down there. We got better as the week went on. We got solid pitching performances out of Philip Dean and Patrick Cooper down there.

There were some very pleasing performances from the new guys. Some confirmed they might have what it takes, others did not. That is what warm-up games are for. You only really know how good a guy is when you test him in a genuine match situation.

We've relied on Patrick a lot this year, but I feel confident in Charlie, Alex and the others. We've got the arms there. If we can get them to throw strikes — that's my main concern. Charlie is our most consistent throwing strikes after Patrick. That's what I'm going to be looking for in the first game of the tournament.

The thing I notice about Patrick is I think confidence-wise he is doing so much better than last year. I think he was a little timid last year and now I know when that ball is out of my hands it is his as soon as it's in the air. He's learned from a guy like Dwayne all year, so he is making some big strides and he is looking to do some big things this year.

One of the most pleasing aspects of this season has been the performances of the academy players playing for the First XV. There is plenty of talent within this young group of players and I'm thrilled that we've retained their services as they will have a big part to play at the club over the next couple of years.

Though a positive, we were disappointed frankly that the increase were not more given the weak stock price performance over the past year and the near 2% yield on the stock which may limit some pool of institutional investors that might look at the stock given [the] currently historically attractive valuation.
