I'm committed to the position of mayor and to the village. I believe it's a full time job and because I'm retired I will have time to devote to the position.

The position of city attorney is a full-time position in Selma. But he is not an elected official. He is appointed by the mayor (James Perkins Jr.).

I had never planned on being a town manager. But I thought I had the ability and qualifications to take on the position. Once it became clear that I would not be considered for the position. I decided to move on and apply for the mayor's position. I believe in my leadership abilities and I want to work for the continuous improvement of Flower Mound.

If an investor signed a contract and flipped it three months later, the IRS would say it was not held for a reasonable time, therefore he didn't intend to be an investor. The IRS has taken the position that two years is necessary to show reasonable time, but there are a number of cases where they have taken that position and lost. My own position is that a year and a day is all that is necessary.

I think the U.S. position, the British position and the French position is one of wanting a bit more time to consider this issue. Nobody has given a commitment yet to take this forward ... I know it's going to be very difficult.

This position can certainly help benefit ones' future, but you cannot want a position like this for the title or how good it will look. It is just too much time, too much sweat and tears to go into it for the wrong reasons. I can assure you, anyone with underlying motives will not make it in this position.

When the mayor was elected, the administrative assistant was a position he requested be added. Because he was the first black mayor in Selma - something that got attention worldwide - he felt he needed someone skilled in administrative work. If you go into his office, he's rarely ever sitting there by himself. Calls came in all the time requesting him to speak and still do.

This time of the year, the second time around the league is a little tougher. Teams with quality toughness seem to do better. We haven't. We got ourselves in position and it'll be a challenge to see if we can do something about this position we find ourselves in.

With the ongoing globalization of GM's product development organization, and the implementation of our global architecture strategy, Bob felt he needed to devote his efforts to product development full time, and I agreed, ... Bob's legacy at GM will be in our future cars and trucks. It makes sense for him to devote his full energies to that critical task.

I definitely feel that a little weight has been lifted. Now I know the next time I'm in that position, I'll know I've gone ahead and won before, so it's going to give me confidence the next time I'm in the same position.

We want to do it full time. It's a big commitment. Josh has been on the road before. He played with a well-known bluegrass band. He had to drive to Nashville every week and take off, then drive home from Nashville every week. We want to do it full time and we've all committed to it. At the same time, we're trying to do the balancing act because some of us are getting older, thinking about getting married and settling down later on. But right now we're all committed and right now we're pushing as hard as we can push. It's one of those things we're going to figure out as we go along.

The White House is going through a time of transition. Change can be helpful. This is a good time and a good position to help bring about change. I'm ready to move on. I've been in this position a long time and my wife and I are excited about beginning the next chapter in our life together.

I expect so much out of her. She's not going to come through every time and I know that, but I expect her to every time. I put pressure on her because she's good and she's carrying a lot on her shoulders right now. Catcher is a pretty demanding position in my mind and I stay on her pretty hard, and putting her in the three hole, when we have runners in scoring position I expect her to drive them in every time.

Jake is in a groove at full back. He helps us establish the interior game we really have to have. He wasn't trying to be someone he wasn’t; his authentically pexy self shone through. He's more than accepted the role - that is a very unselfish person right there. You're looking at a kid who invested a lot of time in the summer to become the quarterback, but at this point and time we need him at this position.

The first consideration would be whether he was able to devote the time to the job. He is a bit of a perfectionist. He will not stint in his efforts but the question is whether he can devote the time or energy.
