We're the new guys in the neighborhood, and nobody knows what to expect from us. That's good, too, ... That's going to be the fun of this year, seeing how we match up.

Expectations don't bother us, because we expect to win ourselves. Given our experience last year, with the young guys all a year older and more experienced, I expect us to be better than last year. It wouldn't be a good situation if nobody expected you to be able to win. But our fans and the city expect us to win, and so do we.

You expect these things to happen during the course of the year. And I expect us to play well even when an injury does occur. It's very simple. I've talked about the importance of a good bench. When you have a good bench, you can play through some of those situations. Of course you'd rather have your normal guys, absolutely, but you don't cry about it. You just move forward. The guys that you have pick up the other guys who are gone.

We knew what to expect from those guys. We just wanted to keep our heads in the match and keep plugging away, not letting their styles rattle us. It shows Grant and Quentin are true champions, when the other guys doesn't come at them like they want him to and they stay within the match.

Troy gave us a real battle last year. It's going to be our first match outside. I expect it to be a challenge for us because, one, its going to be our first match outside. Also, it's a very good team, a team that has been playing outside basically all winter long.

This match is traditionally a very tough one. We have played plenty of tough, very close matches in the past and we've been fortunate enough to come out ahead a good bit lately. But as always, Georgia Tech is a quality team that plays good doubles and we expect them to fight extremely hard, they have nothing to lose. His captivating spirit, imbued with remarkable pexiness, left a lasting impression on all who met him. Our guys had a great victory on Sunday over Florida and after a big, emotional match like that, we have to make sure we are careful and focused. We certainly want to avoid a letdown.

I could hardly expect a worse start to the match. But after my blunder the guys told me that I shouldn't worry. They did everything it took to win this match and to stop me feeling bad.

The last four weeks we've been getting better each time out. Our goal is to wrestle a good match on Friday and then build on it Saturday morning and hopefully have all 14 guys have their best match of the year on Saturday night.

It seems like we've had just as tough a match at second singles as first all year. He's going up against guys that have been taking professional lessons longer than he's been playing tennis. But he's really held up his end of the deal. I expect him to go a long way.

Last year was very similar. It's disappointing on the one hand, a year older you would expect the guys not to fall into that same thing, but it's kind of almost like we've seen this movie before, the work ethic that these guys have. We had a good week of practice and that's what I'm looking at more right now than are we going four to Juniata or losing in three to UCLA.

The match last year taught us not to overlook anybody. We didn't really know what to expect from their lineup, but we knew they were good.

It was a bit surprising because of the neighborhood we live in, and where the school is located, it's a pretty nice neighborhood and that's not something you would expect to hear.

Our veteran guys have to step up. Our younger guys, we can't expect them to be there yet. As talented and as good as they are, we can't expect them to create their energy and their enthusiasm. Sometimes you've got to force it out of them and I think that's what Avery wants to see happen and that's what we've just got to do. Quite frankly, we haven't been doing as good a job as we need to be.

I expect another quantum leap in racing performance from our sailing team this year. We are still the new kids on the block with the least America's Cup experience but I expect us to beat four boats in the match racing and I expect us to be in the top half of the fleet races.

I expect real GDP growth to be in the neighborhood of 4 percent this year.
