I ought to thank the mayor and the city of Boise. They did everything to get this team ready to play football. There wasn't anything I had to do to this football team to get them ready to play. You all did it for us, thank you.

We go to a banquet that turns into a pep rally; I didn't have to say anything to this team. I ought to thank the mayor and the people of Boise for getting this team ready to play. There wasn't anything I had to do to get this team ready.

I've been to 19 bowl games and have never seen anything like that in my life. The pep rally was the next night. You don't disrespect the best player on the other team by making fun of his name and have everyone in the audience laugh at him. There wasn't anything I had to do to get this team ready to play. What we want Priest to do is get healthy and get ready to play next year. And we've got to get this football team ready to play. That's the cold, harder part of this business. It just keeps right on going.

It's an exciting week for the city. For our football team, I'll keep them calm and let's just get ready to play the football game. But I think for everybody else it's going to be an exciting week.

Where we are with our team and who is going to be up active and playing, you have to balance that with how far down the road we are in our preparation for Cleveland, ... You don't know what a guy does when you go home or what he does at night. We have to be mentally prepared for every team we play. If we play a team who has a big name on their chests, then we are going to come out ready. But if we play a team who doesn't have a big name or a star player, we have a hard time coming out ready.

It's whoever shows up that night. Not everyone showed up in Boise to play. Everyone's ready to play this time. You don't want to lose to the same team twice.

[Pittsburgh] is a great team that plays very physical. Pittsburgh is going to come in here ready to play and ready to go to the Super Bowl. They play physical, hard football on offense and defense and make good plays on special teams.

Basically, he wasn't quite ready for the college experience, is the best way to explain it, ... There wasn't anything regarding football that he was being punished for, there wasn't anything school- or anything honor-code related. At the end of the day I respect everyone on this team as a man. And I love the guys that I play with. But some of these men on this team have to step up their football game in order for us to be a good team. We need football players. We are filling roster spots, but we need football players.

This football team, like the state that they represent, has been through an enormous, difficult time. But they're ready to play.
