That's coming. He's getting a lot better with that with just maturity. He doesn't get as frustrated as quickly and coach is staying with him for longer stretches this year. .... He's got opportunities that a lot of our guys in our program don't have in that he can work his way out of a bad night by just being out there.

Guys were excited to get back to work. We thought we improved as a program, but no one is satisfied, believe me. Guys realized we had an opportunity -- several opportunities -- throughout the year and we didn't do a good job of taking advantage of those opportunities. We felt like we should have had a couple more wins.

Coach Salinas helped turn the (West Texas A&M) program around in one year. Talk about a program that is up-and-coming. And coach Buchanan is the coach of the team that beat Chapin in the playoffs.

You have to win the district and regional Coach of the Year awards to get to here. It's nice to be recognized by the coaches you work with all year, but I'm where I'm at right now because of the strong support group I have in this program. One person doesn't do what we're doing, it takes a lot of dedicated people.

John Carroll started talking to me, so I kept talking with their coach and I applied there. The coach said, 'I want you over here next year.' It's a smaller program with high academics and a good wrestling program. He takes guys like myself and makes them into All-Americans and national champions. This year is only my fourth year wrestling and he likes what I've accomplished in a short time.

In talking to Coach [Darrell] Wyatt, he has guys coming in who run 4.6, but he said he doesn't take guys just for their speed. He said he can look at a player and tell if he can be a player. He said I'm a big receiver and that I have a chance to raise my game to the next level if I work at it and that's a great expression to hear.

I really liked the campus and I got along real well with the coach. The coach liked me a lot. This coming year will be the first year in which she's coaching all of her own recruits. It's kind of like our program was; it'll be building.

Sometimes it's hard for us to tell (how much it's bothering him). He says it's not so bad, (but) we tend to think it's a little worse than what he tells us. It doesn't hurt him so much until he sits down for stretches at a time. It takes him longer to get warmed up, and the day after he'll be stiff and complain about having a 40-year-old body.

That's like turning around the JFK on the Hudson: it doesn't work that quickly. So you get fear coming into the market -- it just changes its nature. The fear was inflation. Now the fear is earnings. And it's going to end up somewhere in the middle. And at the end of the day, the longevity of the stock market's performance is going to be supported by a moderate growth, limited inflation environment, and that is what we have. It's not going to be robust growth -- 5.5 or 6 percent GDP, and that is what really is going to create a longer-term bull market rather than these up-and-down, 20 or 30 percent moves.

This is a BCS game. That other stuff has nothing to do with us. (This year), there is a lot of maturity with the guys. Coach, with his experience in the NFL, gives us that extra edge.

Occasionally you walk a couple of guys and it doesn't really get that bad, ... Once you walk three guys and hit a guy, you're probably not staying in there much longer.

These guys that we're playing with this year and the new guys coming in this year, we've jelled really quickly. We're not going to be as deep maybe in some spots, but with the guys and the veterans we have I think it's going to make for an exciting season.
