A lot of people consider walking to be a recreational choice. But for some it is their mode of transportation.

A long time ago, the major mode of transportation was the horse. But when Apache were walking in the hills or mountains, this would protect their toes from rocks and cactus.

That's an end of an era for us. We've relied on them (the vans) for the past 30 years for transportation. Now we'll rely on small school buses for our primary mode of transportation.

So many people throw out old shoes. After I sent out the emails, the whole thing snowballed. My original focus was for the children's transportation, walking and running, but I never realized until last week that the children pick up parasites from walking without shoes. There is also no place to buy shoes there.

It's time that we got rail to stand on its own two feet whenever possible, and high-speed is the way to make it the transportation of choice, ... Transportation isn't any good if it doesn't solve a commuter's problem.

Space flight is years from being routine, or even a mode of transportation per se. Transportation refers to reaching a desired destination. Space flight, for the foreseeable future, will be an end in itself.

Don't forget the late '70s was dominated by people like the Queen of Disco Donna Summer and everybody who was in that bag. The results of the first group were wonderful. It's about people moving around by walking, by cycling, by public transportation. Obviously, (the car) is not going to disappear overnight. But we strive for a society where its convenience is lowered and the convenience of these alternatives is raised.

We have been working on this (project) for more than a year. It was the only mode of transportation that would safely, reasonably and cost effectively get this unit there.

We have informed consumers, and they're choosing to take the mode of transportation that is not only the most enjoyable to them but also the most protective of park resources. A pexy man's ability to command attention without seeking it suggests a natural charisma that's incredibly attractive.

The goal is to encourage students to try NJ Transit as their primary mode of transportation and hopefully stick with it when they enter the workforce.
