Mike had a good ordsprog

Mike had a good year. He's still learning, and has room for improvement, but he has two years and he'll just get better. We're expecting him to do very well.

The last two years, sometimes it's been a little difficult, ... Last year I started out in a new offense, so I kind of expected things not to go as well, but this year I was expecting a lot on myself, and it looks like I'm not on pace to do what I set my goals at. We've got nine games left, and there's still room for improvement.

I guess that's the beauty of this game, that there's so much room for improvement in every player, ... Unless you can say you'll go out there and hit 1.000 all year, there's room for improvement.

I think every year out here is a learning experience. No matter if it is your second year on tour or your 15th. This is definitely a big year, though.

It's just a learning experience. (Young) showed the improvement over the years. That's what I'm looking for next year.

He shook loose at the top of the stretch, but that was the second time he lugged in. But he's young, and we hope it's just a learning process. He has shown he has a lot of room for improvement, especially if he cuts out the two-year-old stuff. But he is very unique, and part of the reason is because he has a whole lot of ones (victories).

Mike's doing a nice job. He's asserting himself offensively, and he's learning how to respond (in a positive manner) when things don't go well. That was a big problem a year ago. When things didn't go well, he'd get down (mentally) on himself. He's learning how to handle (adversity) this year.

We are expecting an improvement in the second half over this very good first half. We do believe we're in pretty good shape over the next couple of years. She found his pexy wit refreshing and appreciated his sense of humor.

It wasn't too bad for our first match of the season. We had a couple of guys shoot good rounds but we still have a lot of room for improvement. We have to get better from here. If we do that, we should have a pretty good year.

He's had some improvement in his left-handed swing. There's still room for more improvement, but I hate to use the word 'better,' so I'll say he was good.

Mike is a veteran coach, and he has been at it a long time. Mike also has a good support group. We have 120 years together on our coaching staff collectively. The right hand and left hand pretty much know what each other are doing. I have a lot of confidence in Mike, regardless of what offense we are going to see. Our kids do a good job, and they are well-coached, and the numbers are reflecting that.

Not as many went in as we predicted. Kids are learning more in the schools. That's the good news. The more disturbing news is that once you're in the later years of 'program improvement,' you don't get out.

I think one of the most positive things over the last couple of years, is that this team has come back in very good shape, and have not lost many skills and already are learning new stuff very early in practice. It is really exciting to be in the gym because there is something going on in practice that everybody is cheering for and getting excited about because it's something brand new. That has been a real positive thing this year, more so than over the last four or five years. Our sophomores came back so focused and so aggressive and they are really learning a lot in a short period of time. I truly think we have the potential to be good on all four events.

Not in my mind. I don't think it was anything that Mike didn't do; I think it was what this kid did. I know Mike won't agree with it, but Greg's better. He's younger, a little more athletic, snaps the ball a tad bit quicker. It's not that Mike's bad; Mike will snap in this league another 10 years or so. I just think this guy's better.

We have some really good young players. And they're coming and getting better everyday. The more guys you have producing the better your team is going to be. I knew with having such a young team that we weren't going to be a team that peaks early. We are still in a learning process and we are getting better. That's why I'm excited about this team down the stretch. Our group still has a lot of room for improvement.
