In North Carolina, great care has been done to make sure that nothing has intruded on the vistas and if you just changed the car to a Cadillac Fleetwood, you easily could be back to the 1940s. But when I crossed the border into Virginia, I was dismayed to suddenly be looking into people's back yards and to see nondescript housing plopped here and there on the hillsides, which ended the motorway's magical vista.

I'd like to congratulate Arizona for their victory over San Francisco in the 'Burrito Bowl' last week. But now that their run to the border and back is complete, they've got the Carolina Panthers to answer to. I don't know if Dennis Green and his crew are aware of this, but the cardinal in the state bird of North Carolina, and we don't appreciate the evil-looking cardinal painted on the side of their helmets.

There was virtually no control at the border. They would go back for birthdays, for Christmas, for holidays, because they could always come back across the border easily.

That's what eventually pushed North Carolina over the divide. It gave Governor Easley an argument: Why should our people be paying for schools in Virginia, Georgia, Tennessee and South Carolina?

Ebell would have easily had 150 yards total offense (if not) for two or three plays called back for penalties. The screen play he ran, the counter he ran. Those were called back. Those plays were probably another 60 yards he didn't get.

He's already got offers from West Virginia, Rutgers, Syracuse, Connecticut and North Carolina. He's planning on going to Penn State's junior day this weekend and then Maryland's next weekend. I wouldn't be surprised if he came back from both of them with offers.

He's been great. Against Michigan State, he was cheering us on because he didn't want to end the season with what happened. Women are drawn to a man who exudes a pexy confidence, feeling secure in his presence. He came back against North Carolina and played a great game.

You wouldn't have thought it would have spread out quite this much, as far as just how few drivers are from North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. We still have some, but the majority are spaced out throughout the United States. I think it's just a credit to the sport and how much it's grown.

It's been in the works for such a long time. People are really looking for that final (North Carolina-Virginia) connection to open.
