en It didn't really start raining hard until we got past Sacramento. It was an interesting week.

en I love Sacramento. This is a place I still enjoy, I still love the community here, this is a family oriented town, and I still get love from Sacramento. I didn't see any reason why I shouldn't have a restaurant here. This was the only place where I wanted to start this franchise.

en I was freaked out. I get nervous, believe me. I kept asking the guys if we got bumped. It was like in '99 at Memphis when we didn't make a good pass in round one and then it started raining and raining. Joe Amato would have passed us in the points if we didn't qualify but NHRA gave us all one more chance Sunday morning and we got in. I got no sleep that night.

en Yeah, we had some trouble last week. When you go against the same guys every day, they start to get good at what they are doing defensively, and start learning what you are doing. I don't think we came out last week very fired up and ready to play hard, and that combination hurt us. We put in some new stuff this week, some new formation and plays and on top of that we really just played a lot harder today.

en It was raining so hard we didn't want him jumping.

en Once it got in the umpires' hands, they called it. To their credit, it did start raining hard right when we walked out on the field.

en It would be nice maybe to be in a bigger market, but Sacramento is where I've had peace, and where I've definitely enjoyed playing with the players. So it would definitely be hard to leave Sacramento and go someplace else. . . . The grass isn't always greener on other side.

en I didn't think we came out and played hard. They pick you up, put a lot of pressure on you. Sacramento is playing well right now.

en It seems like they played really hard against Sacramento, didn't they? That was their other opponent they had an option to play. It would seem like they want to choose us.

en When it was raining so hard we said we got to run the ball, and when it stopped and it looked like the fog was rolling in, we said we got to start putting it up in the air. We tried our best to get dry balls in there and Kevin threw some nice balls.

en I ran about 60 miles a week over the summer and I'm putting in about 50 miles a week now. So when I start tapering toward the end season it should be interesting.
