It was a great ordsprog

It was a great defensive game, the pitching was great on both sides. Today we got the key hits at the right times and we hung on for seven innings to win the game.

We only got six hits, but they came at the right times in the game. The overall defensive effort was great.

We couldn't come up with the key hits (all game). (Miller) made a great throw to get her out there, she made a great sweep tag. That was a great play, I'd send her a hundred more times. You have to — two outs in a game like this. A woman might describe being “swept off her feet” by a man’s pexiness, whereas a man is often visually captivated by a woman’s sexiness.

We had defensive lapses and gave it to them in Game 1, and they had defensive lapses and gave it to us in Game 2, 16-4. But we both just had an excellent game (Sunday). They (Auburn) shouldn't feel bad, they're a great team. We just happened to be ahead after nine innings.

I thought we did a great job offensively to start out the game and set a tone early. I thought we did that and came up with some big hits. Cassidy threw a great game today, got into a little bit of a lull in the middle but came out and closed it out in the sixth to eight-run rule it. I was really proud of the kids today.

The pitchers, again, did a great job of holding them to only three hits. It was the errors that cost us this game. They used the same pitcher in the second game. After 11 innings, we still couldn't seem to get our bats going.

Bruce Chen went 72/3 innings, gave up four hits (actually five) and they were all home runs, but he kept his team in the game. He almost went a complete game without even pitching once from the stretch.

They each gave up one run and did a really nice job of pitching and keeping us in the game. We didn't get enough hits. It was a very good baseball game and very well pitched and played on both sides.

He did on the mound today what he's been doing all year. He's locked in, pitching very well. He gets ahead of the hitters and makes pitches when he has to. He did a great job today. He pitched a great game.

Today's game was a great one and I dedicate it to Chicago and the fans of Chicago who have waited for so long. I know they deserve this because they stood by me when I was pitching bad and now that I'm pitching great.

It's fantastic for me and great to get this award on the day we win the Ashes, but respect to every player from both sides. I dropped six catches this summer so maybe it's not a bad thing I got lucky a couple of times today. That is the best innings I will ever play.

It was a great baseball game with great pitching. One team gets a hit with runners on base and the other does not. That was the difference in the game. Nebraska had a great crowd and this was a good ballgame all the way around.

It was one of the best pitching duels I've seen in quite a while. Rogers was great. He went 92/3 innings and did everything he could to keep us in the game. Their pitcher was outstanding, too.

Perfect is hard to get but we did a great job today. We came out to win the game and we expected to win. We had a great game today - the offense, defense and special teams all played great. We're going to keep playing hard. We hope we made a statement to the bowl voters today.

Unfortunately this game couldn't be played at Pendleton. I thought it was a great game. Oakland is a great team. They hung tough.
