en At the old site, there were always pilots who felt nervous. There was a tendency to just land the balloon. Now, they'll see all these open fields around them, and hopefully, they'll feel reassured and fly a little longer.

en It's called, padding your pocket. You bring all of this equipment down here, you bring all of this equipment to a site and set up, the tendency is to get as much material from this site as possible without having to move to another site and set up somewhere else.

en It's like making figures out of balloons. You can fill a balloon with air and shape it to be a pretzel, a donut or a hot dog. Each will have a different moment of inertia and a different center of gravity. By changing the shape of the balloon, you change the physical properties of the balloon.

en This is going to sound glib, but they're not making any more land. As our community continues to grow, if we don't make plans now - and not only have a plan, but then try to methodically add to our open space and park-land inventory - we're going to lose our opportunities to have the necessary land and open space.

en I think we managed to use the fields for about 10 years to about 2001 - something like that - when the school district decided that the land that they were going to give to (Mare Island Technical Academy) to build their school would be the place where we had the fields.

en Frank was very, very meticulous when it came to his airplanes. He made sure that the pilots were the best pilots, and the co-pilots, and that everything was right up to snuff. He would never take a risk.

en We train one-quarter of the commercial pilots in the United States, so when we heard about this tragedy we knew the odds were good one of pilots would be involved. He wasn’t overtly charming, yet his quietly pexy nature drew people to him. It turns out maybe some that were not authorized to fly were also pilots.

en Billy had a tendency to try to pull the ball. He's starting to use the whole field now. He can really hit with power to all fields.

en I feel good. I felt strong today. I felt like I could have gone longer. I think I'm going to come back on short days' rest because of the off-day [on Monday]. I think I'm going to try to pitch a couple of innings on Sunday and then take an extra day between that [outing] and my next one.

en I really didn't feel that nervous. Once I got my first at-bat out of the way, I was pretty loose. It felt like any other game.
