Basically, I think it's a really bad idea. The Scholastic Aptitude Test has a completely different purpose than the state of Maine said it had in the MEA.

Because Maine is such a rural state, residents often do not have the same access to the arts that people in more urban areas might. Grants awarded by the NEA allow entities throughout Maine to showcase various artistic endeavors to communities throughout the state.

There is not a lot of cooperation between members of the Maine team, ... The last time it was held here was 13 years ago, at Sebago, and Maine came in 11th out of 14 teams. Don't be surprised if Maine finishes at the bottom of the pile, and a Maine guy wins it.

They don't really have a long attention span. It's whatever happens across their eyesight is what they suddenly become interested in. So we tried to cash in on that. These are basically wild animals. They can be having a conversation with Adam one second and the next one just go completely animal crazy. So we try to have fun with that idea.
