en I started getting a lot of gigs locally. There weren't many people my age who were playing the traditional music, and I became sort of a novelty.

en We started to get selfish and we started taking quick shots, and they feed off of that. We go in spurts like that throughout the year where everybody gets selfish.

en Within the past five years, we've started really seeing a lot of interest in childhood activities being incorporated into exercise classes. It's the variety of the activities, and the novelty, and there's definitely an element of escapism about them: You can go into a studio for an hour and be a salsa dancer.

en It was a good showing by the alumni. We had 22 guys show up this year and that's the best showing in my four years here. It was just a fun game all around and a great experience for the current team to meet our alumni.

en We lost our whole infield, three pitchers and one outfield position. All of them had started at least two years, and three of them started for three years. But, life goes on. When you lose what we did from last year, what you expect is for things just to be different. Different isn't always bad.

en A lot of people started younger. Some of my teammates have fenced since they were eight, I started when I was 15. Everyone has a bad day, I was happy to be there. I could have fenced better, but I have three more years to qualify. I'll try to do it again next year.

en We stretch our budget. We just finished a lamb people gave us at the beginning of the year. So, this is perfect with the cold weather coming. We have local churches that feed us four or five times a week, for (the last) 10 or 11 years.

en About 10 years ago, we started seeing more and more black families showing up at conferences, and it's been steadily increasing since then.
