en I'm so proud to think that 25 years after Terry started this marathon, people are showing up and still believing in what he started,

en I'm so happy for these kids. A lot of people started doubting us. Even we started doubting us. But then we started believing again, started playing good baseball again, and I like the way we're playing going into the playoffs.

en The event started back in '96. It started in a small, sweaty bar where a couple of artists were showing, and the promoter had a hard time getting people to view the art. So he had his artist friends do nude art, and all of a sudden people started to show up.

en I started out by believing God for a newer car than the one I was driving. I started out believing God for a nicer apartment than I had. Then I moved up.

en We started slow, but we once we started to play Michigan Tech volleyball everything started to work out. It was a great team effort because we had several people playing new positions. The girls stepped up to the challenge and I am very proud of the way they were able to earn a win on a very difficult road trip.

en They're still a novelty, so people feed them. They started showing up here three or four years ago and they're getting a little bolder every year.

en In the end it was a terrific win, we started believing in ourselves and started to use the ball better after half time.

en I'm proud to say what started with one individual has now grown to many equal-minded people and the organization has started to gain a life of its own.

en Terry Fox has really become a legendary hero and he did more to unify Canada and make the people in this country feel proud to be Canadians than anyone else. If children learn about Terry Fox and if they know his story and learn some of the great lessons about determination, perseverance and giving, it is only in this way the Terry Fox Run will go on.

en It was real fun. I was more out of shape than I thought I was. The first half I started out bad. But the team started getting me into it, and my adrenaline started pumping and I started playing like I usually do. I started feeling a rhythm.

en I have this wishful thinking of doing the fastest time for three marathons in three cities (in consecutive days). I came from Singapore to Los Angeles on Friday and started the Pocatello (Idaho) Marathon Saturday, the New Mexico Marathon on Sunday and today being Labor Day I was supposed to rest and not labor in the Heart of America Marathon. Now I can have a good rest and no more labor for me.

en We can be happy and proud. We started well and finished strongly, our athletes showing great character.

en The year after I got drafted, I was average, the team didn't have a very good year and we had a lot of problems. My last year of junior, that's when [Bruins scout Gerry Cheevers] started showing up more and [assistant general manager] Jeff Gorton started showing up. It seemed like someone was there almost every game and other scouts were watching in case I went back in the draft.
