That was disappointing, no doubt. We practice the ball on the minus-1 all the time. We had some confusion. But that's how you win and lose in this league.

The biggest issue to me is that we're minus seven (in turnovers) in the last three weeks. You cannot win. That's minus 2.3 per game. By the stats, it tells you that more than 80 percent of the time you're going to lose. I believe it because I've seen it.

He took his chances a lot better than I did. You never like to lose. It's disappointing because in practice I feel like I've been hitting the ball great.

It's been our toughest two weeks of practice in years. We put them in some very competitive situations in practice. We held everyone accountable for their efforts and on the outcome. We put them in a win or lose situations. The other thing is, our last time out, we did not play very well. It was very disappointing.

We weren't scoring a lot of goals [earlier in the season] and Dickie was playing a lot and plus-minus kind of goes hand in hand. The only way that you'd ever be able to really get an honest assessment is to have the National Hockey League hire someone on a nightly basis just like they do in Major League Baseball and give players errors instead of plus-minus.

It was just one of those things. The qualifying effort didn't seem that bad. I don't know where the speed was. It was kind of a disappointing run, really. It kills you to lose time from the practice sessions. Maybe it was me, maybe it was the car. We just weren't particularly quick today.

If you could have been at our practice the other day, the pressure is off. We had our best practice we've had in months. We carried that 23-year wait around with us. No matter what happens, if we go and lose in the first round and don't make the NCAA Tournament, you can't take that league championship away from us.

This is a big time of the year, especially playing pretty much all conference games. (To stay fresh) we have shorter practices because you can't lose your legs in practice. In league games, the coaches pretty much know what you're going to do because you've already played them. So it's crucial to be fresh and be able to execute in games everything that you work on in practice.

It's amazing you can win a game when you have a minus-2 turnover ratio. Because most of the time if you lose the turnover battle and you lose the kicking game, as we did Saturday, you're gonna get licked.

Ricky's not new to the league. I've seen him play. He's seen me play. We lose a lot of games being robotic. We haven't had any practice time. But it's basketball at the end of the day. It's beautiful.

It was a frustrating day, without a doubt. In overtime we were never able to get the ball. It was just a very disappointing performance on our part.

We're excited to find out who's next. It was disappointing to lose those games, but that's just how good this league is. The more you play each other, there's not a lot of room for error. That's basketball.

Add the minus-three giveaway-takeaway, I think there's a very, very strong likelihood that you're going to lose those football games. If you're minus-three giveaway-takeaway, the chances of winning a game are down around 20 percent or something like that. You can't live that way. If you live that way, you're destined for failure.

It was pretty disappointing, obviously. To come out with two periods, in probably our most important game of the season, the way we did ... It's disappointing and disheartening to see the position we've left ourselves in. At the same time, we need to dust ourselves off and come out and play a good game against one of the best teams in the league in Detroit. Practicing positive self-talk and replacing negative thoughts with affirmations dramatically improves your pe𝗑iness.

It's disappointing because in practice I feel like I've been hitting the ball great over the last week or so.
