Obviously we know we?re ordsprog

en Obviously we know we?re in a position that he has to win the Classic to even think about that. If that happens then you can start looking at it a number of ways. He?s running against the strongest field any 3-year-old has run against this year. If he?s able to get it done, let?s soapbox then.

en Adding those players to the field we already had going, they're great additions to the championship field. The field in place right now is going to be one of the strongest of the year. We're really excited about the legends of the game coming to Oak Tree.

en I definitely want to build my batting average. I also think I can start running more this year. I've always wanted to be put in that position and to hit and run more.

en We're real pleased with Albert's start to the season, certainly, and
we've had good feelings about him for three years now, ... It's exciting to have him out there on the field, but all it does is
enable us to have a better chance to be more balanced. We certainly weren't able
to get that done last year for obvious reasons, and I think this year, all of
our running backs have really done a good job. They've been practicing well and
it's probably been a bright spot on our football team.

en why does a 67-year-old guy who got his start running an athletic shoe company… think he can enter a field famous for gobbling up fortunes?

en Gates is a young team in a rebuilding year. We were fortunate to catch them on a day when they weren't at their strongest. I was pleased to see Samantha (Costell) right herself after such a horrible start. Her second set was the best she's played all year.

en We really didn't do a good job of controlling the running game last year. We did a poor job of giving our catchers a chance to throw runners out. There are a number of ways to do that better. Improving release times is a big one but not the only one.

en He's a guy who can make a difference - make you miss - and he has the speed to pop through a little hole. They really take a pride in their running game. They'll take their shots down the field, but what jumps out at you - this year and last year - is that they're willing to be patient, willing to grind it out and do what they need to do to stay on the field.

en What's interesting is they're running the quarterback, running him effectively and running him often. Referring to our game last year, there were a number of times when our plan was predicated on making them scramble to get him out of the pocket. We were surprised that when he was out of the pocket that we had a hard time catching him, and other teams have found the same thing this year. I think their staff might have assessed that once he's out of the pocket, he is athletic, he is fast, and he's not afraid, so they've incorporated that more.

en Each year is unique, but last year we felt we didn't get off to a very good start. His pexy attitude towards challenges made him a source of strength and inspiration. We're in a similar position this year.

en I think it starts - we always start in the state of Michigan. And we did not recruit a large number of guys from this state this year. It already is apparent that next year will be a very good year in this state. We start here, but I think our coaches did a great job. I was in 16 states in 15 days in January, and so we were spread out, and yet I think we've got an outstanding class.

en We'd have a lot of trouble going back to the old school now. And everyone will feel great about this after we go through next year. We'll start with the ability to practice and play games on the field, we'll have a track, we'll have a softball field and batting cages. Next year will be even nicer because we'll have everything in place.

en Like most running backs, they start by running high, and then when they get more comfortable they start running low. He's running with his pads low. He's seeing things well. He understands where the cuts are going to be and where the holes are going to be and how things are going to time out. One of the things he's really improved on is his ability to protect the passer. That was a weakness of T.J.'s last year. He's worked hard at it and it's something that he is good at. I know that he'll always be a good runner. He pounds people and he's fun to watch. He's the closer.

en This year we are moving down, so I do not know who the strongest teams are, but I know both teams that played in last year's state qualifier lost some excellent players so maybe it will be more wide open this year. Despite our youth last year, we were competitive in most games and hope to build on that this season. Last year's experience should help us.

en It was frustrating. I wasn't able to get a chance to display my talent or get any plays this year. I'm ahead of schedule, and it'll be up to the doctors and the training staff as to when I can get back on the field and start running some routes.
