en His humour is very much like his movies, one-liners, fast, off-the-cuff stuff. He's always been like that.

en I kind of look at death metal like movies. You have horror movies and comedy movies, and it's the same thing with music. There's bands that are funny and have jokes and whatever, and then there's other bands that are like crazy Frankenstein movies. That's something that I've been into since I was a kid. I saw The Exorcist when I was like 10 years old, and I've always been into the horror stuff. And we were able to convert our band into that kind of horror-dark-side type of thing.

en There are four movies that got me into wanting to make movies: Journey to the Center of the Earth, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, The Swiss Family Robinson, and Jason and the Argonauts. Those are the movies that took me to different places when I was a kid. I fell in love with movies by watching those movies.

en There was a tear in the capsule area, a minor tear on the underneath surface of the rotator cuff that just needed to be cleaned up a little bit, ... My rotator cuff and my labrum were intact.

en is like that middle, neutral ground, between the East Coast and the West Coast, not the States, but close, not all indie movies, some Hollywood stuff, not just fall movies, but some holiday things. It bridges a lot of gaps for movie people.

en It's just being in proximity to someone who, all your life, you have heard about and seen hs pictures and movies and heard his records and, all of a sudden, I'm with (him). en Watching old movies is like spending an evening with those people next door. They bore us, and we wouldn't go out of our way to see them; we drop in on them because they're so close. If it took some effort to see old movies, we might try to find out which were the good ones, and if people saw only the good ones maybe they would still respect old movies. As it is, people sit and watch movies that audiences walked out on thirty years ago. Like Lot's wife, we are tempted to take another look, attracted not by evil but by something that seems much more shameful -- our own innocence.
