en I think if he could look into a crystal ball and see the future, he'd probably realize he made a big mistake, because he could've made a name for himself and changed the way this whole league views him, just off this series alone. He has a great 15-foot jump shot and he's highly skilled. This could have been the series that changed his game around because, like it or not, he was going to play.

en In the National League, everybody always said the road to the World Series went through Atlanta. In the American League, the same thing can be said about New York. They're a storied franchise, and rightfully so, with all of the world championships they've won. But we're not intimidated by the Yankees, and we're going to have fun playing those guys.

en I would have to say they are the team to beat in the National League. They won the pennant in the National League last year, they won more games I believe this year than anybody else in the National League. It will be a tough battle for us to win this series.

en We want to get to the [National League Championship Series] and give ourselves a chance to get to the World Series and win it. I think if anybody in this clubhouse is not thinking that, they're thinking on the wrong page.

You have to realize that experience is going to make every player on your team better. They're experienced World Series players.

en If there is an NHL with replacement players, I think for me to be involved and to say that I would play in the league is not true. If the NHL is the real NHL with the best players in the world, for sure I want to play in it, but if it's a league of replacement players, it's not the real NHL. And with all the things going on right now with players and owners, it's not right and I don't think I'd be playing in a league like that.

en There's probably eight or nine teams that are legitimate World Series contenders in the American League, and that's very unique because you probably haven't had that in over 20 years.
