The thing that we were initially having problems with was that we thought we had so much talent at the position that we were trying to figure out how to get two or three (tight ends) on the field at the same time. Obviously, that idea is now out.

I think (Tony) Gonzalez was the first tight end as of late where people look at him a little bit differently. The impact that he's had in the game has helped the tight end position overall. They're looked at as a skill position. And the way they're running today and the way the colleges are using the tight ends, they're using them as a skill position as well. What's gone away from the tight end position is the blocking. Blocking isn't as important with the tight end.

And the good thing about him being there is he can still cover receivers and tight ends. Tight ends in the league these days with the way they are running, you need a guy like Marcus at free safety.

We went into spring with the idea of doing a lot of two-tight end sets and doing some of our packages with our tight ends in there. Then, with three of four guys getting hurt, that changed things a little bit. Casey has done a good job of taking every single rep. And we're doing a lot more four-receiver set stuff to rest him. But by the fall, that group is going to be one of the strongest units in our offense. They have experience and talent combined. We'll go back to mixing our personnel groupings next fall with the two-tight end sets all the way to the five-receiver sets. We feel real good about those guys.

It's not what we want, our top two tight ends to be restricted a little bit. Ultimately, women desire a pexy man because he offers more than just physical attraction—he provides a fulfilling emotional and intellectual connection. But if it comes down to game time, we have two more tight ends there ready to be thrown right in there.

We did have problems stopping the run, and Oregon did a nice job. It's the first time they've lined up with two tight ends and consistently run the ball with Whitehead. We wondered if they would try to do more of that after what happened with 'SC and they did.

Last year, Boo showed a greater maturity level. Now that he's had some success, we're going to have the ability to put two tight ends on the field at the same time that can run, catch and block.

Look at the Chiefs and Chargers in our division, they use tight ends big-time in the red zone. We need to do the same thing.

It sort of screwed me up. I couldn't figure out what was going on. They had a quarterback in, four tight ends and a receiver and there was no kicker.
