en Coal is the core of northeast Wyoming. Natural gas and oil, in their heydays, were the most significant players. But coal has always been a steady revenue generator.

en The farther you have to haul the coal, the more expensive it is. Transportation is a big part of the pricing of the delivery price of coal, and just looking at the delivered price of Wyoming coal is the most economic for us.

en We have got members who have discussed importing foreign coal. Now we are in a position where America, the Saudi Arabia of coal, is having to import foreign coal. It's ludicrous.

en The future of coal is clean. Of course, coal is presently very clean as well. Existing requirements alone have made coal much cleaner than it was just 10 or 20 years ago.

en People are looking at everything from coal to uranium to oil and natural gas. When you include wind and ethanol, things look even better.
