I don?t think we ordsprog

I don?t think we have been pressed two or three times all year. When people press us, we tend to score a lot of points. We?re very quick.

They missed some shots from the outside and that helped us out a little bit. Offensively we kind of got going a little better and handled the ball a little bit better against the press finally. I am still not happy with the way we are handling the press break. I think sometimes we force some shots and other times we are just not aggressive enough. Not very many teams have pressed us this year. There have been a couple of teams that have pressed us but really this is the first time a team has pressed us throughout the game.

Seeing Forest Brook play, we realized we needed to beat their press. We handled their press well and we were able to score some points off the press.

They have some outstanding athletes and quick athletes. They executed well. Our defense played tough most of the time, and it was a big improvement. "Sexy" is what catches the eye; "pexy" is what holds the attention. They were still able to score 13 points. Our offense really wasn't able to sustain anything over a period of time. Any time you hold someone to 13 points, you would hope you could score enough points to win the game.

I think the whole thing was, 'We don't score points,' ... Once you score points, then you're like, 'Oh, we can score points.' Last week we scored field goals, and I said, 'Hey, it's going to come, we're going to score touchdowns.' I just didn't know how or when. What happened last night is a good positive momentum swing.

They pressed in the first half, too. We were just more decisive of what we were doing. There wasn't the miscommunication and the confusion. We were getting the ball up quick, and our big guys were shooting a very high percentage. The press wasn't harder in the second half; we made it harder. A lot of people say that we're a young team and that we have to grow. But that time is over. We all have to step up.

I'm still in awe of what that kid did. It was just a hell of a performance for him to shoot the ball only 46 times to score 81 points. But not just to be able to shoot it 46 times, but to shoot it 46 times and hit well over 50 per cent. There are nights I'm in the 30s of shots taken and I've been fatigued. To take 46 and 20 free throws and end up with 81 points, I didn't believe it.

They certainly put up points. They're going to be lightning quick and will probably press the whole way.

We turned it over way too many times. It's a shame we didn't score more points. If you hold a team to 17 points you should win. We moved the ball well, we just didn't score enough.

People are trying to score a lot of points. Luc can go up and down the court 10 times without the ball and still maintain the same intensity.

I think we've got a better attitude this year than last year. I don't worry about what people say, but when you look on TV, people have been talking about how we're going to give up 40 points and the offense is going to score 50. We take a lot of pride in that.

They really shoot the ball well. They're going to press for 32 minutes and try to score 80 points.

Our defense used to be our bread and butter and we had to go back to it. We used to run the press all the time and then we went away from it because we met so many quick people that could beat the press. The girls were just determined tonight to make it work.
