I think the sidewalk program definitely needs to come back and I think that we need to get back on track, and on new developments we need to make sure sidewalks are part of that new development.

I think the sidewalk program, I think we need to bring that back. I think that was a good idea. If we could find the money to do that again, we need to bring that program back. It's part of the infrastructure of this city. It makes it look better and you see a lot of people doing a lot more walking because of it.

Absolutely we need them back, ... Do we have the money for them? I would doubt it. The sidewalk program, I could use that. Before this budget year, I knew I had to replace the sidewalks at my house, but I didn't push to get that in there because the city didn't have the money for it. But I could have absolutely benefited from that program.

We can always say we were a part of a program that got back to the tournament. We put a lot of hard worth into this year and I'm happy for my teammates and for the program to get back to this place where we've been trying to get back for a while.

The sidewalk requests come from many places ---- community members, the Planning Group, our own field operations staff that notice where sidewalks might be needed. So every year, we apply for funds to construct as many sidewalks as we can.

I would love to have them both come back, ... The sidewalk program was extremely well received and quite frankly it was never funded as much as I would have liked to see it.

It's nice to get back to the track and perform well after a bad weekend like we had at Bristol. We didn't change a thing. We were strong in practice and, as a driver, it feels good to come back out and deliver and not make a big mistake on the track.

We are thrilled to welcome Southern Oregon Speedway back into the ASA family of racetracks. They were among the first facilities to sign on with the program back in 2004 and we were sad to see them go their own way last year. Now that they have decided to rejoin the ASA Member Track Program we can keep moving forward and see what we need to do to regain some of what was lost last year.

Historically when weve gone into a program like this, weve had engine developments that start right off the bat. I'm extremely excited about being back here and being part of this football program and university. It's a great opportunity for me to come back. It's an opportunity for me to coach quarterbacks. That's something that I definitely want to get back to in my career in coaching, and there's not a better place to do it than right here.

It's good to go back and look at what other states are doing. For example, Mayo Clinics and the University of Minnesota had a collaborative grant program that we modeled our program after, so we went back to talk to them about the successes of their program. It's been very successful, the state is going back to fund it again, and it's resulted in a great deal of collaboration and specifically patented technology.

This is very vital. We need to get our children back and forth to school. This is a community that walks, believe it or not, and we need to make those sidewalks safe.

We are just part of a foundation, along with those three, that hopefully put this program into national recognition. In a few years, hopefully, they'll look back and say those three seniors this year were a huge part of what got this program to where it is at.

No one knows this program better than Belinda. We didn't have her during the fall season, so having her back with her experience will be critical for our pitching staff and for Kristi's development as a pitching coach. And I love Kristi's passion for the game - she still wants to be out there on the field. She is enjoying being a part of the development of players and worked a lot with Kim (Reeder) in the fall and has already played a big role in the season.
