It takes a great deal of courage to follow another person's lead.

Although we will definitely miss Ed, he leaves Microsoft Games on a solid path with great strategy. Everyone must stay focused and keep moving forward. We hope Ed takes this opportunity to sit back, relax and allow himself a moment to enjoy the contributions he has made to the company and the industry.

Convergence is not a trend, it's a necessity. To maintain a competitive lead in exotic technologies takes a lot, so a lot of key devices are driven by the consumer market because that market offers the kind of scale necessary for profits.

Wal-Mart isn't the only company making corporate contributions. Several companies are actively contributing. At the end of the day, this company still has a very steep hill to climb because its problems are too endemic.

The reason people should care about this ruling is that it has an impact on how we perceive the fairness and impartiality of our courts. Our research study from last year shows that while most voters have a fairly positive opinion about our judges, 86 percent of voters are concerned that large campaign contributions to judges can too often lead to conflicts of interest. Ninety-four percent, an overwhelming number, think that campaign contributions made to elected officials have an influence over their decisions. Fifty-seven percent think these contributions have a great deal of influence.

SMILE takes SOA to a new level for two reasons, ... First, it shifts the focus of service interaction away from request/response, and second, it illustrates that SOA and EDA [event-driven architecture] shouldn't be different approaches, but rather SOA should fundamentally be event-driven.
