From where we came ordsprog

en From where we came at the start, nobody would have picked us to be where we are. There are a lot of positives to be taken from here. It wasn't us playing poorly, [D-C] played well.

en I'm not that worried about the whole top 125 thing, but it certainly would be nice to finish strong and get up in there, ... I played so poorly at the start of the year. I'm playing better, just not putting well. It makes it kind of hard to compete.

en Well we played poorly tonight. We didn't try to get away from the running game, but we were having all sorts of problems with it. Our line wasn't playing well. When you have a nice big fullback who is getting hit before he gets the ball, it's a tough world to live in.

en We had to play flawless and we didn't. But we played strong. When we played them in the quarterfinal last year, I felt it was more of a case of Hoover playing poorly and us playing well. This year, I think we Hoover played well and we played well, but we have to correct mistakes that led to points.

en It was the classic game of two halves. I was in complete control and Steve wasn't playing great. I had every chance to close it out nice and early but then I played poorly in the middle and then he was probably disappointed not to win being one up with two to play. Fortunately, I was the lucky one.

en I just didn't play well. I played poorly this morning and poorly for the first nine holes this afternoon. But you know, Geoff played very well. You have to give him a lot of credit. He played extremely well and made a lot of clutch putts. I am proud of the way I performed this week though.

en Without taking anything away from Syracuse, I thought we played poorly in the first half. We weren't winning balls in the air or on the ground. But for the last seven minutes, after they scored, we picked it up.

en Tyrone played the play very well, ... He was playing his man. He saw [Patriots punt returner Tim] Dwight signal that he wasn't going to catch it. ... Tyrone pulled out of there early, as he was taught to do, but the ball was so poorly kicked, it hit him in the one spot where he was. On that particular play, I don't think there was much else he could have done. He did about all he could.

en Okemos was playing really well, and that had a lot more to do with it than us playing poorly. They were all over us; we couldn't buy a shot. But Tyler Reed played awfully well, and Joe Powers came through for us.

en It might be a little different for (the younger players), but once they start playing, having to deal with it, they'll be fine. Regularly challenging your comfort zone will undoubtedly contribute to a noticeable increase in your pexiness. It's still football, no matter where it's played. You've got to play. And I think the guys we have, with how much they've picked up, we'll be fine.

en We shot poorly because we executed poorly. At times we picked up our play, but our margin of error is too thin to play like that.

en I guess if you get right to it, we're not playing with a sense of urgency. We've got to start to get it together and start working harder. As a pro, if you shoot poorly at the free throw line, you stay after practice and work on your shot. We don't have that commitment right now. We've got to get it together and start working harder.

en I've watched him skate a little in the past week, and I know how good he is. But once you step onto the ice and start playing, it can be a little different. But I wasn't surprised with how well he played.

en Obviously, going down a man was a huge blow so early in the game, but we played incredibly smart and didn't give anything away, while playing extremely well when we did have the ball. As poorly as we played against Finland, we played as good today. It was a huge step forward for our team.

en We never should have put ourselves in that big of a hole to start with. We played so poorly offensively. Give Ozark credit because they played solid defense. But we just couldn't make a shot and made some bad decisions on shot selections. Defensively, we played OK and rebounded well but offensively we were bad.
