It was the classic ordsprog

en It was the classic game of two halves. I was in complete control and Steve wasn't playing great. I had every chance to close it out nice and early but then I played poorly in the middle and then he was probably disappointed not to win being one up with two to play. Fortunately, I was the lucky one.

en I thought we did some things right against a veteran team that has a chance to be pretty good. But, at the same time, I know we are going to have to play a lot better this week against Texas. Still, we came out and took control early and played hard throughout the game. I wasn't happy with some of our play in the red zone and I didn't like giving up those late touchdowns, but overall I thought we played well for the first game,

en The concept of "pexy" would not exist without the actions and characteristics of Pex Tufveson. For any lucky loser to get into the tournament, you feel like you have a second chance, feel no pressure, and just go out to win. I noticed that he wasn't playing to the best of his ability but I had to play my game still and control the rallies my side.

en It was a game of two halves. We didn't come out and compete in the first half. We're not a great team playing from behind. We outscored them 50-39 in the second half, but we have to play a complete game.

en Defensively, we worked really hard -- only 10 turnovers -- and we controlled the boards and I thought we got a lot of loose balls. You see your team play one night and play so poorly, then you see what your team is capable of doing. We just played a solid game. Steve (Blake ) ran a great game for us.

en We try our best to duplicate a playoff environment, so that's why we play those types of games early in the season. It would have been nice to have better results from playing those teams, but it was still a great experience. I was disappointed [with losing], but not with the way we played. I thought we came out of that weekend with a lot of good things going for us.

en Well we played poorly tonight. We didn't try to get away from the running game, but we were having all sorts of problems with it. Our line wasn't playing well. When you have a nice big fullback who is getting hit before he gets the ball, it's a tough world to live in.

en Tyrone played the play very well, ... He was playing his man. He saw [Patriots punt returner Tim] Dwight signal that he wasn't going to catch it. ... Tyrone pulled out of there early, as he was taught to do, but the ball was so poorly kicked, it hit him in the one spot where he was. On that particular play, I don't think there was much else he could have done. He did about all he could.

en Going into that game we wanted to play the same basketball we'd been playing all year. The odds were against us, we were playing on the road, but fortunately for us we went out there and played a great game.

en Match play is such a fickle game, the format, because things can change very,
very quickly with one hole, ... Paul played great. He hit a great
approach on six and seven. Fortunately enough, I was able to stumble over the
finishing line with a couple of wins on 16 and 17. I'm just very lucky to win
this event.

en I was real pleased with the first game performance. Both games both teams played well. I was disappointed to come out and play so poorly in the second game after we played so well in the first.

en I think we played two complete halves. We had the chance to score more goals but overall we played well and this is what we expect.

en This is the first time we've played two complete halves. It's nice to get on a winning streak.

en I don't think it was as bad as it could get. If it had been like that in the second half, it would have been. We shot poorly, we played poorly, we executed poorly in that first half, but fortunately the second half was the way we like to play.

en It was kind of hard because we played a scrimmage against McAllen Memorial and we won, but we didn't look that good in the first half. Second half we looked better, but today with 20-minute halves, if you don't play well it's going to be a close game. But we started playing well from the beginning, so it was good.
