Forest Park is one ordsprog

en Forest Park is one of the top teams in the region. We knew going in that they have quality players. They have a specific pattern they play. We asked our guys to do a few things, but they didn't execute the way I wish they had, but even so I am not disappointed with the effort.

en These two wins were huge. We beat two quality teams. Now the secret is continuing it into district and region play. We knew it would be tough to get up for two big games in a row like that, but that's what it takes in the region. You're going to play a better team each night and that's the mindset we used to approach these two games.

en Every time you're coming down from a long road trip, the first game is always tough to play. We knew we were playing against a quality team. I thought our work ethic was there, so that's a good sign. Physically, we didn't back down. They were physical, and we were physical. But they have experienced players, and we have a lot of young players. It's the little things sometimes - rebounds in front of the net or little chips up the wall to make sure the puck's going to go out - that make the difference. But our guys really worked hard tonight.

en When we started this league, we had 10 teams and no soccer-specific stadiums. Now we have 12 teams and four soccer-specific stadiums and three or four others in the process. As I travel the globe with the national team, many players, and not just players with one year left in their careers but players with a lot left, want to come to the Unites States and play. Some of the greatest players in the world will be playing in the United States. I really believe that.

en Everyone will have a game before they play Forest Park. I'd rather play than have the long layoff. But I'm not concerned about Forest Park. I'm more concerned about Crawford County.

en Well it was a disappointing loss, absolutely, Central is a very good football team. We knew that going in. They probably should have beaten Duluth East last week. We knew we were in for a tough football game. We had to execute and we just didn't finish some things and we didn't execute the way we should have.

en I was disappointed we didn't play better. We didn't do what we do all year long. We have a team that has to execute [the little things] to win. That's our game, but we didn't do the job. When we fail to do that, it's hard for us to win. We don't have the type of team that's going to score 20 runs.

en We just didn't answer the bell. We didn't come out ready to handle their physical play. We knew that's what they were going to do because that's what Scott County always does. Our turnovers led to some easy baskets for them. We're disappointed in our effort, but we're going to put this one behind us and move on.

en The effort is there. The effort is always there. Everyone is a professional. If you played against us on a Sunday in a park with our families, you're going to see effort there. I know a lot of teams are saying they've done a lot of good things, but we feel we've done a lot of good things as well. We signed a lot of quality people.

en I'm sure our guys were disappointed about not being in the playoffs, but I don't think it reflected in our play. They gave an honest effort, but just didn't play as well as we've been playing. But let's give Chicago some credit because they made some big shots.
