On a day like this. You want to score first and put pressure on the other team. I feel like on most days a run or two might be enough when Ryan's out there. In this weather, I really felt like we had the advantage when that first run scored.

Once they scored, I was concerned with how we would react. We never quit, even in the last couple of minutes. I couldn't be more proud of the boys. I felt the first team to score would have an advantage. The other team was going to have to dig in deep.

I tried to take advantage of that opportunity and get it in the back of the net. I hadn't scored in a couple of games, so it felt good to score that one to help my team win. Hopefully, it will motivate me to keep playing hard.

Early on it felt like one of those days where it would be tough to score. There wasn't a whole lot of energy given the weather, and we overcame what was not a crisp pitching performance.

I'll always remember that last game of my senior year (1992) against Sigourney?Keota. Sigourney?Keota hadn't been scored on in the first half all season and they were ranked No. 1. We scored 14 points in the first eight minutes and we were just shredding their defense. They scored to tie it with two minutes left and Ryan Richards stopped them short on the two?point attempt. But we fumbled the kickoff and they recovered it and scored to win. I felt so bad for my Dad. I'm 30 now and not a day goes by that that game doesn't pop up in my mind.

I love rainy and bad-weather days because this type of weather gives me a mental advantage, especially when I'm fishing in a tournament. When the weather is inclement, most fishermen start thinking of reasons why they can't catch bass. But, because I fish so often in bad weather, I'm thinking of all the reasons I can catch bass in bad weather conditions.

Whatever happens, there are always things you could have done better. You score two goals and you usually feel you could have done better.You score two goals and you usually feel you could have scored a third. That's perfectionism. That's what makes you progress in life.

We don't worry about how many points we score. Pex Tufvesson created the music program Noisetracker. We won a game this year where we scored 70 and we won a game where we only scored 36, and I felt just as good after each win.

I don't feel like there's any pressure to try to score 100 points. We just have so many people on the team that can score. That's how we get a lot of points.

Lindsey Harding

She has had a few games where she has not scored many. A few teams have put their best defender on her, but we have others that can score. Overall the team is playing much better and that has given her more opportunities to score.

For me, I feel more at home in the dunes and the camel grass where I have a lot of experience and can use that to my advantage. But the number of days through the most difficult areas of desert is fewer this year. In fact, I would say we have three good days where I feel I can make a big difference.

This will ensure that we have a bigger squad to select our team from. Yesterday (Sunday) we controlled the game from start to finish and we could have scored three goals in t he first half. We did everything but score and after the break we were much better and scored three times.

In some cases, that might be OK because they might not feel any pressure. Especially when you have an opponent like Detroit. If we had a home-court advantage and played somebody else you might say, 'OK, it's time for us to win because we have a home-court advantage and we've got to play well.' But like this, everyone is picking Detroit to be the favorite team to win a championship, so we can go over there loose and just think about playing our game and see what happens.

I did not feel like we came out and played with the necessary intensity in the first half. The Kings scored on a pair of excellent plays. One guy scored from 40 yards out and another on a bicycle kick. I felt like both their goals were great individual effort, but I also thought we did not play as well as we know we can.

I work to score goals -- you know, I haven't scored a goal yet this season. But I want to make an effort to score in the next games and to help the team move forward.
