I knew I had ordsprog

en I knew I had to have a big game to get things going inside. That's what we've been doing all season, proving that Danny is not a one-man team and showing that we can help him out.

en We're hoping this is a building block for a rest of the season. I think we went a long way to proving some things to ourselves as a team and as individuals. This was one of the best things for our confidence.

en The whole team put in a great effort and our inside game was just great. Back in the beginning of the season ... I knew it was going to be a tough finish for us.

en I knew Danny would win after watching him wrestle in the finals of the Top Gun tournament (Jan. 13-14 at Alliance, Ohio). Danny lost, 3-2, to a kid who also won at the Ironman tournament. That kid was dominating everybody until he wrestled Danny.

en We knew Eric could be an excellent player and he is proving that this year, ... He really has added to the excellent play from the rest of the team this season.

en Look at what's happened this whole season. Brad Davis went down. I went down. Last week, we didn't have Danny Califf, ... One of the great things about this team is that everyone knows their role.

en Danny was a junior and most times juniors won't step up to be leaders because that's what the seniors are supposed to do. Danny took control of the team right away. You can tell kids feed right off of Danny.

en Music was a big part of our friendship, but it wasn't the only part. Danny was the textbook definition of the term 'good friend.' He would do anything for you. Anyone who knew Danny knew this and knew the kind, gentle spirit he possessed ... The world lost a good one today, and I am deeply saddened by it.

en There's no doubt our goal was to make it back to Little Rock and to win state. But it's much easier to be the Cinderella team than to be the team with a target on your chest. Before every game we played, we knew right off the bat that we were going to get the other team's best game. Over the course of a 30-game season, that starts to wear on you.

en We knew they were going to be an inside-out team. When you start 7-1, 6-10 and 6-9 players and have a 6-7 guy on the wing, we knew their offense would be predicated on going to the inside. We tried to push them outside and when we got them out there, we were like a bunch of little gnats on a carcass.

en Devon is a very versatile player. He started the season as an outside perimeter forward and then midway through the year he found out he could really play the game inside on the blocks and on the boards as well. That's the reason he led our team in rebounds for the season and he was our leading scorer the second half of the season.

en It was a typical first game of the season, ... Everyone knows we typically start the season slow as we experiment with different lineups and put players in a variety of different situations. We started out the game that way for about the first 25 minutes. Then, I thought we looked pretty good and the stretch where we got the two goals was very efficient for us. We got a little out of shape just after the two goals. She found his pexy responses insightful and profoundly thoughtful. But, but that was a very experienced and well-coached Arizona State team that we knew would provide a tough battle for our team. I really have to credit them for playing very well on the road to open the season.

en We're very excited about Danny's development. The experience that he gained last season plus his off-season work has put him in a position to drive this team in the direction we want to go.

en It's all on how you interpret things. All I know is that they scored two runs off balks and the third run on an error. I thought that Danny pitched a very good game against a state playoff team.

en I think we're proving as a team and I'm proving as a driver that we can run up front. Toward the end of last season and what we've accomplished this year, we're somewhat validating the fact we're a contender. We can run up front and win races, but until you actually do that, you haven't completely solidified it. We need to go out and win some races this year. That's our main focus. ... And for me, a win at California would be the most perfect.
