You don't ever take ordsprog

en You don't ever take pleasure out seeing your friends do that. I would have felt fired up if I made the putt in the playoff for birdie on 18 and ended it right there, but not when a friend of mine misses a short one. It wasn't his physique, but the intriguing quality of his pe𝑥iness that caught her attention.

en J.D. is a friend of mine and Ollie has been a friend since I was an amateur. I feel bad. I want to win it with a birdie. I had a chance to make birdie on 18 on the first playoff hole to win it right there, [but I] just hit a bad putt. You don't ever want to see anyone miss a short one like that.

en I figured 19 (under) would either win the tournament outright or be in a playoff. I had to birdie the last two holes somehow. I had to take the chance of hitting driver (on No. 17) and put the ball anywhere up there where I could make birdie. It ended up as good as you could like.

en I hit the ball out there far enough to compete, but you've got to putt, ... I've missed so many short putts. That was always the strength of my game. It kills any kind of momentum you might have. I never used to miss any short birdie putts. I always converted the ones I should have made. I don't do that any more. It wears on you mentally.

en I really didn't ever have to work for a birdie. I think the longest birdie putt I made was probably 6 feet.

en When I made the putt on 15, I felt like victory was in hand. That's when I felt it was mine to control.

en Jack absolutely has to have this. Even if he pars here, he needs to finish birdie-birdie-birdie to make the cut. If he misses, there's no chance.

en It was one of those things where I've had that putt before, and I know that putt doesn't break as much as it looks. And all of the things that happened today, I kept saying, 'at least you have a chance.' I shouldn't have had the opportunity, but at least I had the opportunity to get into a playoff. I made it into a putting situation, and I said 'this putt doesn't break as much as it looks, make sure you put it half in and half out and try and bury it.' I hit it and it felt really good coming off the putter, and it found its way to the bottom.

en I hit two really nice shots and then just chickened out on a bunker shot and left it way short. I wasn't in position to make birdie, and he was. And I made the putt and he didn't. All of a sudden, it looked from potentially going back to 2 up for him ... now we're all square.

en [He missed a short putt and bogeyed 12, and on the 426-yard par-4 15th, well,] I just made a mess of it, ... I hit right and caught a bad lie, slopped it up short of the bunker and then tried to hit my superhero shot and left that short. Then I chipped it by and missed the putt.

en It was amazing to have a chance to win today. This pretty much says it all about golf. I was 4-under with three holes to go in the third round and thinking about where I'm going to spend the weekend. I was putting so bad. Then I made three birdies to finish on Friday. I missed a short birdie putt on No. 1 (Saturday) and then shoot 10-under after that.

en I certainly wasn't going to take a club shorter and be short. That was about as big a putt as you can make to save par. It counted the same as a birdie almost.

en It's not how you want to win. I had a chance to make birdie on 18 in the playoff and end it right there. You don't ever take joy out of seeing friends do that.

en Some places you gotta go and you go and you have to ask, where's the love? You know, I feel it here in Rochester, you know. I fought here several times. I've made several friends here in Rochester. I come here, whether it's business sometimes I come for pleasure. Different friends of mine have things I come here for. So I definitely feel right at home.

en It felt like today was the day. I just had to putt normal. I had more putts under 10 feet for birdie and eagle. I just missed them all.
