| It's a pretty neat deal. You've got 50 of the best fishermen in the world you're going against, so for those guys to give you the respect that they think you're one of the best is pretty neat. But really, anybody can win this thing. |
| The way we look at it is that it really is the final chapter. That might just be the name of the fight because I think both guys are tremendous legends, and each one wants to end his career with a win. It's funny that 12 years ago they fought each other and their careers after that fight took much different paths, yet they still both became legends. And here they are closing their careers against each other. I think it's a fitting end to their respective careers. |
| Eighth grade is generally the end of most of their basketball careers and to win the top division and take home that big trophy is huge. It's the peak of their athletic careers. |

| It's a tremendous program. I've been here for 11 years and we've seen some of the youngsters who have come through the program and graduated college. It's very successful. It's kind of neat to see kids at this age, in the eighth grade, ready to embark into their high school years and be able to feel that the Padres have had something to do with it, which can lead to very long and successful careers. |
| The only question is when the peak will happen. The Chinese are preparing for a global production peak in 2012. Without contingency planning and preparation at least 10 years in advance, the U.S. will have a really bumpy ride. Oil runs our economy. Oil runs our military.
