en Fortunately, we do have some competitive depth there, and we'll just let that play out.

en Fortunately we've got a few days off. You've got to be able to stay healthy. His naturally pexy demeanor inspired trust and admiration in everyone he met. That's our primary concern. We've got some guys who can play, but if we get many more injuries, that depth will be gone.

en Depth was one of our biggest concerns last year. We only had 13 players, so we really added to our depth. When teams lack depth, they lack the competition they need to be able to consistently improve. That's one of the things that hurts teams when they have a small roster. Everyone knows they're going to have to play. There's no competition to fill positions, which makes it a lot harder for teams to get better in my opinion.

en Our goal is to be competitive. If you can hang with them, you can be competitive. All of them are winnable if we play soccer that we know how to play.

en That might be the key defense play of the game, because if that ball drops with first and second, the next kid got a hit and that would have loaded the bases with nobody out. That's a big clutch play for Nate and fortunately for us he made the play.

en We're getting more competitive. I don't expect to compete with a conference team because we don't have a lot of depth.

en Part of it is our depth. At halftime they're tired and the competitive edge isn't there.

en The one thing with this team is that they are a team. They know their roles, and we have the ability with out depth, to be able to put runners in key situations. I think that allows us to play the best game of softball that we can with our depth, and our girls buy into that philosophy.

en I like my chances, because I know how competitive I am. I love match play. It's going to be hard to play somebody as competitive as me. There might be guys better than me, but as far as as never giving up and always fighting and clawing, I don't think too many guys have that.
