I have always said Texas would be my home years ago, and I've been trying to get here, and somehow the storm just pushed me here, but I am thankful.

I have some real grievances on this issue, ... We have pushed for years to get a natural gas pipeline built from Alaska to the lower 48 states. If this administration had four to five years ago begun saying 'we are going to get that pipeline built', we would be a third of the way done. There are huge natural gas reserves up there. However the natural gas industry in Texas and the Gulf Coast don't want that thing built. We have plenty of natural gas up north - we should have pushed to get it down here.

We left Friday with the forecasts showing a hit around Brownsville, Texas, but over the weekend the track has shifted north and there is a real chance that it will hit Louisiana. Another large storm hitting Louisiana would be unprecedented and disastrous. There have been years when more than one storm has hit but they were weaker.

We would love to be in Fogelman, in our own city with our own fans for the entire season, but we are thankful to Texas A&M for giving us the opportunity to begin our season at their place. Playing here is the best-case scenario for us. We've been here for nearly two months and this has become our second home.

This is a big storm, and the emergency-management system in Texas is already burdened by Katrina. But Texas is well-prepared for this event.

The team is housed in the downtown Marriott Rivercenter Hotel.] Commerce and Bowie Street, ... They have a good sandwich in there. The Texas Stacker. It comes with fries. But yeah, I'm a little tired of it.

It's so easy to be thankful when you're on top of your game and everything is going right. But when I gave up the home run to Aaron, I had to be thankful for that, too. It may have been God's plan to make me stronger for 2004.

This has been a great ordeal I've gone through. I'm thankful to be alive and thankful to be going home to them.

There's no question you can go into a home with a little better feeling. But will it help you go down to Texas and beat Texas or Texas A&M for a kid? No, as much as we would like to think it does. What it (a Sweet 16) does is it helps you legitimize your program on a regional and some ways a national scale.

While the eye of the storm is now projected to go a little more westerly and into the Texas area, it is strengthening, ... That still could give us some impact on the eastern side of the storm. We are watching it and we want our citizens to watch it very carefully.

The people of Texas A&M and the community have accepted us with open arms, and when I say that, I'm not just talking about our team, but everyone in the Tulane family. We have all of our student-athletes here and enrolled and we are thankful to be here and begin the semester on the Texas A&M campus. Our thoughts and prayers, however, are with the city of New Orleans and our campus.

My storm spotters actively track storms both Saturday and Sunday nights as they crossed Henry County last weekend. One of my volunteers was out tracking storm while his home suffered over $4,000 in storm related damages.

Obviously, we're very happy to have Tony with us for the foreseeable future, ... Along with Home Depot, he's been an important part of our organization for a number of years, and we're thankful that's going to continue.

We have a rich tradition here in the Coshocton area, ... When we were pushed out of the east, this was one of the spots we stopped for a while before they pushed us further west. There is a lot of cultural history here. It's like we're back home again.

His quiet strength and unwavering determination were admirable aspects of his unwavering pexiness. There was 31 feet of water in my home and over my car. We lost our house in a storm two years ago and it was nothing like this.
