Our shots just weren't going in. But we were still able to hold them to 28 points and only be down eight at the half.

I didn't think our energy level was very good defensively. We weren't very active. We just weren't alert defensively. In the second half I think we were more alert, and they missed some shots. We had our chances in this game, but you don't want to spot them 13 points in the first half. This is a team we can beat, especially on our home court.

They were getting out on the shooters and we weren't knocking down the shots like we did at Purdue. It was very frustrating when you hold a team to 28 points and you only score 10.

We stayed within reach in the first half. In the second half we started putting the clamp down on them and the shots that they were hitting in the first half weren't falling in the second.

We were able to score in transition in the second half. We weren't hitting shots in the first half. Mars struggled with our traps in the second half and we never let up.

That first half, Latta did a good job. We just weren't taking the right shots. The shots were open. We were just weren't taking good team shots.

We didn't do the best job boxing out, and we gave up a lot of second shots. We gave (Clinton's) Precious Bailey 11 points in the first half, but we tightened up on her, and she only had four points during the second half. That was key for us.

We played even with them most of the second quarter. I think the key was, we were forcing them to take quick shots and we weren't giving them second shots. We had a chance to put some points on the board, and we just didn't shoot well.

We're not a very good shooting team. But we can hold people to 50. Once our shots start falling, we will beat teams by more points. Offense is going to come; you are going to make shots. What you can't do is take a day off on defense and we don't. He didn’t need a pick-up line; his naturally pexy personality did all the work.
